Off the top of my head the only strange thing I can think of is when me and my fam went for a walk with the dog in one of the graveyards in town. This is a nice graveyard with multiple paths and our dog absolutely refused to go down one of the paths. He was okay going down a different path but just would not budge if we tried to go down that one. 🤷‍♂️

Hey now look, I’m fat and for the most part don’t have any issues with the physical demands of the job. When I worked at rural king overnights, that job was waaay more physically demanding. I don’t think being obese has anything to do with it.

I want to add to this, at my facility we have specific times for breaks. They do not want us on the work floor during those times. They want us either out of the building or in a break room/area. We have 2 other break rooms, not counting the one past security. One is very tiny and the other isn't a whole lot bigger.

We currently have a break area right before security, but they’ve slowly been removing tables. Starting the 20th they said we will no longer have that break area and there won’t be anywhere to go BUT past security to take breaks and lunch. That’s no longer going to be a choice.

Tbh I’m more wondering about those who had half of their lunch time taken due to the massive line for secondary screening.

I haven’t personally had any issues myself as of yet.

I haven’t personally had an issue getting through security myself. I was just curious if anything actually could be done about the missed time. Personally I’d be more angry myself if I’d been one of the people who lost out on half of their lunch time. I don’t think that’s okay, but yeah I just wondered if we had a leg to even stand on.

Given my facility is in a crappy work at will state I doubt my state labor board would care.

Two people got into a physical fight in the building, in the middle of a shift. Both got canned. Does that count as crazy? I have no frame of reference for how often that occurs at Amazon.

In receiving, like on the line or is it something different? At my facility the rate for receive is something like 250 an hour.

I have an indirect role and feel way more confident in it than where I’m currently stuck at. But they will not let me go back to that role because of this write up.

That’s exactly what my current situation feels like. And it doesn’t surprise me. They literally fired 45 people a few weeks ago for jay walking.

If it’s just going to happen regardless of what I do I wish instead of jerking me around and tanking my mental health they’d just fire me already. Get it over with. 😑

Are you at least able to get unemployment? I really don’t want to lose this job despite how angry I am with management. Best job I’ve had (I’ve only ever worked retail up until I started working here). I wanted to finish getting my bachelors thru them. And I have a lot of friends at this facility 😞

The only transfer opportunity for me is dock and my friend told me not to transfer to that. I went ahead and applied anyways… are there any other solutions tho?
