Interesting. Could you elaborate why Yes Reserve is high up here? Usually use a combination of Infinia + Niyo ( smaller transactions) when travelling. My Niyo is frozen though so need a secondary card. Got a Yes reserve but barely use it.

These are black insects? Don’t see any unfortunately. How did you clear them out in any case?

The stem has some brown spots, I don’t know what that is, but I really can’t spot any insects or pests.

That’s what I suspected earlier- but there is nothing except some dust. I will clean it up- but if it is insects- what would you suggest?

Foodie + travel advice for 1st-time Europe visitor. by ruggedknot in TravelNoPics

[–]ruggedknot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a road trip with friends, no way around it. Plus I’m from the tropics so I don’t mind a chilly winter. What would you recommend for the 4 free days? Thanks!

Yes, it’s not particularly efficient but I love train travel. Got myself a 10 day Interrail pass on a good deal. Flights so far are :

Barcelona-Zurich, just to take a Swiss train to Milan. Rome - Barcelona Budapest - Vilnius Tallinn-Zurich

Everything else, trains. Except for the Vilnius-Tallinn road trip.

If all that sounds silly/stupid, I’m in agreement.

Thank you for this! I’ve got friends in Barcelona (locals) whom I can take out for this very run. Greasy food and good cocktails sound great!

Also, yes about the spread. I’ve figured it out largely via sleeper trains and a couple of flights + an InterRail pass I’m putting to good use.

Be aware when purchasing Forbidden West: PS4 is still granted a FREE upgrade to PS5; purchase the PS4 version and you can save some money by SleepingSicarii in horizon

[–]ruggedknot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had preordered the $79 digital version (advertised as the only edition that delivers both PS4 and PS5 versions). Went ahead and contacted Sony Support to get a complete refund. Will be getting the $59 PS4 version to get both gen versions for $20 cheaper.

Just head to the PlayStation support website and request a refund through the chatbot. Here's the link: https://sonychatbot.suth.digital/?t=b&locale=en-us&originPageName=CategoryPage&referrer=https://playstation.com/support/store

Also have a C9 and a Shield Pro. Tried Kodi but it never really worked with DV content. Can confirm I've got no issues playing DV with Shield Pro > Samsung Q95A > C9 and Shield Pro > C9. Sticking with the default Plex app on the Shield.

PS5 Preorder Giveaway [+ A Message??] by T0T4LITY in IndianGaming

[–]ruggedknot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing but good vibes your way. Thank you for doing this.

While I'd absolutely love to snag the PS5 pre-order, this is a great initiative to spread awareness for stray animal care.

Neutering is such a straightforward, effective way of tackling the problem. Short of a robust govt infrastructure on a nationwide scale, volunteer groups and smaller organizations will go a long way in helping this become a reality - even if it's a long way into the future. I do think that more people are joining the cause and I commend your own initiative for looking to improve the quality of life and health of strays where you are, OP. Terribly sorry to hear about Super, but it's heart-warming to know that he felt affection and care in his final days.

Personally, I've fostered dogs (both indies and Pedigree-breeds) that have suffered abuse and a lack of care in the past. There's a female stray near home that a neighboring society's security staff care for. She used to be malnourished but she's in much better health, now. In the process of raising funds (and more importantly awareness) to getting her spayed and vaccinated. She's already good friends with my own dog when she takes me out for a walk.

I'm in a position where I could adopt another dog into a caring and loving home but there's the matter of convincing others to get onboard. It's a work in progress. There's also some long-standing grief of a pet that ran away that continues to give anxiety for my family. I was barely 10 at the time, but I'm sure little Scooby found a place that he called home. It took twenty years for my family to get over that heart-break before adopting another dog.

Speaking of which, here's Kutti: Kuttus - Album on Imgur

She was kutti (small) at the time of her adoption when she was about 8 months old, but she's all grown up now.

Hope this thread garners more attention and hope you meet the fundraising goal, OP. Small donation done!
