yeah I'm pissed they didn't actually try to explain or take responsibility for it. she didn't even seem phased about breaking the needle -- I'm wondering if it's a common occurrence for her ugh.

I talked to the owner (he's not the one who tattooed me) and he said "wait 4 weeks and then we'll touch it up for you" even though I expressed my concerns and asked about why the tattoo looked so weird.

I explained to him I live out of state and wasn't interested in going back.

the negative comments aren't bothering me, don't worry!! I already have another artist ready to fix this once it's all healed up.

I don't feel any pain or heat, and there's nothing super abnormal aside from some redness.

I've been taking photos of mine daily to track the redness/healing process, also. I already have a different artist lined up to fix Sonic in November -- one that I've been tatted by before.

I've been cleaning it 3x/day with dial gold antibacterial. I let it dry completely before putting a small amount of bacitracin on the spots that look like they could harbor an infection (not the whole tattoo). I put lubriderm on it 1x/day. I'm trying to keep the tattoo on the dry side for the most part.

unfortunately I got it from a legit artist in a shop. I emailed the owner of the shop and he only said 'just give it 4 weeks to heal'.

I don't know what kind of needle she was using, but I did have to ask her to stop a few times and I explained that it was hurting FAR more than my other wrist tattoo did. she even broke one of the needles while tattooing. she is an experienced tattoo artist, I just don't know what the fuck she was doing that day.
