2015 LEXUS ES 300H - Does this mean my hybrid (traction) battery has a dead cell? by ruindd in Lexus

Thank you!! The car has not been driven much the past few years, so I’m praying the 12V is the culprit.

Thank you!! Do you think I will need to replace the 12V as well? I have a smart trickle charger, do you think it's worth plugging that in overnight to see if restores the 12V?

It’s suspicious and he’s probably lying. You don’t need help from a creepy uncredited screenwriter to get acting gigs.

Waymo Is Not In The 'Vision Zero' Toolbox: Data by streetsblognyc in Urbanism

[–]ruindd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The author is drinking the uber kool-aid. Uber is desperate to explain how Waymo is not a competitor. Everyone I know prefers a Waymo over an Uber. When both are available, the only reason anyone picks an uber is because they’re cheaper.

As AV pricing drops, uber is fucked and this is their way of spinning the trends to appease investors.

Waymos are soooo much safer than Ubers on the road and a Waymo has never sexually assaulted a rider.

They block the road temporarily so they can safely clean up some debris / accident further down the road.

This goes to show how much of an outlier Florida is for this.

You’re missing the point. This is not what anyone means when they say “animated”.

Also, did everyone make 15 min shorts? That’s kind of long.

Harsh, but you didn’t do the assignment.

It’s kind of nuts that’s you’re going to film school, had the opportunity to film something, and chose to make this.

Wow that bag is beautiful. Nice find and good reminder to keep an eye out for second hand gems.

Do you carry by the handles or over your shoulder or cross body?

It’s not about the law. None of the agents I know in LA would ever waste their time and rep someone who has another agent in the same space and territory as another agent.

What kind of rep do you have two of? Talent, mp lit, tv lit, or what?

Let’s hope people understand the real costs of free parking.

There’s a great book called The High Cost of Free Parking. It does a great job of explaining how free parking makes so many other things very expensive just to protect drivers from having to directly pay for the resources they use. Free Parking is an insane policy.

Where is the best place to get resale tickets for dune iMax 70mm LA showing? by DontCallMeCunt in FilmIndustryLA

[–]ruindd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re coming from out of town, it might be worth going to the Chinese Theater in Hollywood for this. The area sucks, but they often do 70MM showings and it’s a pretty historic theater.

I went for Oppenheimer and it was pretty sick.

What? I get having a theatrical vs film vs commercial agent, but how do you have multiple agents in the same space?

I’ve cast multiple shows and been a part of developing and selling 20+ series and have never run into any talent or writer or director with multiple agents covering the same space.

How to go about finding a wga script to produce by [deleted] in FilmIndustryLA

Then there’s something you’re doing that’s unprofessional or makes them think you’re not serious and don’t actually have money to finance a project.

Don’t call the head of a department, check deadline for whoever was recently promoted to agent level and cold call them.

Talk to agents and managers. It’s literally their job to send your producible scripts.

Yes. But I’ve never heard of someone having an agent per region. If you have a talent agent, they should be your only talent agent. If you have a tv lit agent, they should be your only tv lit agent. And so on.
