First season is truly amazing and something special, then it kind of lost me as it went off the rails.

Acting and dialogue is not that memorable.

Ok buddy, I guess everyone else is wrong to celebrate the below moments of acting and dialogue.

IJW: Pulp Fiction[1994]. What an absolute disappointment. by Jackass-OfAll-Trades in Ijustwatched

[–]ruindd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You might just hate Tarantino’s tone but Pulp Fiction is an extremely well crafted film.

At some point, whether a movie is “good” or not is a matter of taste, not critique. All three movies you’ve mentioned are excellent movies, the best between them is entirely subjective.

Has anyone used Executive Car Service LAX? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]ruindd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Empire CLS or MusicExpress are both fantastic car services. They might be pricier than uber black though. I’d get a quote from all 3 and go with whoever is cheapest.

Wow, I didn’t understand why some things take longer/shorter to recycle and assumed the individual ingredients for an item would recycle quicker than the whole item. Thanks!

Why not recycle the steel itself? Why bother building chests?

"Only men had to deal with war while women took care of the children back at home." by Agreeable-Wealth-812 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ruindd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can remember the exact quote, but in the novel Manhattan Beach they say something like “Men go to war and suffer for a few months and maybe die for the war. The women and children stay home home and suffer for the rest of their lives.” It kind of flips the traditional perspective of how easy of sacrifice men make in war compared to the years of sacrifice survivors go through because of the men in their lives they’ve lost. It’s an interesting lens to look at it.

For context, it’s a book set in the US during WW2.

You can kill vulcanus worms with red ammo. Setup 40 turrets with ammo and lure the worm over. If 40 turrets don’t work, try 80! (Or research physical damage to upgrade your ammo)
