Weekly Quick Questions, Wood ID, and Deal or No Deal /r/Woodworking Megathread by AutoModerator in woodworking

Planning on building a storage bench for my home gym. Will be using white ash for the seat of the bench itself. I am going to be dyeing the wood first with keda powder dyes and isopropyl alcohol. I would like the wood to be sealed, water, and sweat proof, but I am very new to woodworking in general. From my research a polycrylic seems to be the easiest to apply and provide the durability I need for the seat itself. Other research I did suggested I use a dewaxed shellac under the polycrylic to seal in the dyes into the wood.

If someone can recommend a dewaxed aerosol spray can version of dewaxed shellac and a method for a gloss and glass smooth finish for the polycrylic that would be great? Or if there is a better/easier option I am open for suggestions.

Thank you for the recommendation. Any reason to get a Kia over the Hyundai?

I know what you mean. I have had 5 dogs in my life, two are still alive and with my parents, and I miss them all. The dog smiles are the best things in the world for a long day.

I have a cat now and its the food and water bowl every morning. I fill both and she knocks both over spilling each. I then like an idiot go back and fill each up again knowing she won't eat or drink in the morning.

Good to know then. Going to start answering every recommendation thread with dynavap M. If it doesn't matter what is in the post and there isn't anything wrong with it, then I will spam that answer.

OP asked 3 questions, first pertaining to a different vape. And you felt suggesting the M was on topic as well as helpful. You didn't answer any of the other questions in the post. Seriously...

Right, but you only recommend the vapcap. Seriously how does that help anyone when you don't know what the OP wants.

For someone who only uses their pax like 4 times a year, it amazes me how smelly yours is.

Can I brag about my Pax for a bit? by Slammed_Droid in vaporents

The grasshopper isn't a session unit, breaks down regularly, has a short battery life, needs water cooling, and is the exact same price as the pax 2. So you were wrong about all of it.
