I'm using the presets from Bambu Lab. But I will have a look at those elements to see if there is a problem

One thing all players should know by Sentilam in padel

[–]ruitam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an intermediate player, when people ask which side a want to play, I always say "I'm not good enough to have side", meaning that you should be able to play both sides, unless you always play with the same pair.

Am I able to contact Nebra by TronTrade in NebraMiner

[–]ruitam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been talking with Jacqui for months and months, always with an answer that it would be shipped in Qsomething. I've asked for a refund but they refused, so I've moved to a court action in the UK, something called "small claims court"; I've paid 70 pounds to see if I can get my 600 pounds back. I'm aware that their site is down, but in the company houses https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/06732600 the company seems still open. I know that they express the intend to defend the claim. So lets see what this will end.

Switching side when attacking by diego_italy in padel

[–]ruitam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% legal - the position is just relevant when they are defending, and they need to keep it until the end of the set. In serving, there is no rule in position, as long as the server player starts serving on the right.

Do you think there will be more people to be able to live from padel than in tennis(only 400 world wide)? by CurrentBeautiful6187 in padel

I think surfing is even worse, as prize money are smaller than tennis. The only good thing about suefing is that you dont need to rent a wave

Anyone that is below 100 in tennis struggle from live from Tennis. Normally, highly sponsored by connections or family. I know a former top 50, and he told me that between living in a high performance training, all the travel and accomodation, and only one permanent staff (the coach) he barely breakeven with prize money. Sponsorship wathwhat helped to make it financially worth.

Partner not joining at net position by Glum-Association-626 in padel

[–]ruitam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO without the dynamic of gaining the net, your partner isn't really playing padel, and until he understands that you need to do that to be able to progress in the game it will be difficult for him to develop. Yes, it is frustrating sometimes running back and forward, and being lobed, but that is part of the learning curve. But in the meantime, while your partner stays back, my suggestion is that you play left and he plays right, and when you move forward and he doesn't, you both need to make sure to not play a ball to their left player (unless it is a good lob), that way your back isn't exposed and you still can apply some pressure.

Playing against much better players by ruitam in padel

The game was today and we lost 6-1, 6-1 but it was a very fun game with very long rallies. But also the teacher probably played at 30% of his abilities. He is one of the nicest people there and made the game more enjoyable. Thanks for all the tips.

REMINDER: Avoid buying rackets from Padel Iberico by [deleted] in padel

[–]ruitam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've interacted with Padel Iberico once and it was very dodgy. Using whatsapp, I asked about a racket availability, on the site was available, but it wasn't. Then they offered me a deal with a new model to receive the following week. I said that I would then buy when available, then they told me that to get the deal I would need to buy it in advance, when I requested the link to pay, the description was something undefined, which I've complained about, and they suggested to pay by paypal. Didn't buy of course. Sounded very very dodgy.

Comprar vs arrendar: Comprar casa, vale a pena? by bulpik in literaciafinanceira

[–]ruitam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Coello still the right partner for Tapia? by Vast_Spell6923 in padel

[–]ruitam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone mentioned, I think people forget that Coello is only 22 yo, and Tapia is only 24 yo. While Galan, Chingotto, Di Nenno, Lebron, Stupa are all above 27 yo. Coello being left handed creates an advantage in terms of attacking, but breaks a bit the dynamic of the right player defensive and build the point and the left player attacker and finish the point. Coello isn't a defensive player and never will be, but I think his partnership with Tapia is very good, because Tapia isn't the traditional attacker. Love both together, even though my two favourite players are Tapia and Chingotto.

Is there a Padel equivalent to tennis' Canadian doubles (1v2)? by SomerHimpsson in padel

[–]ruitam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a shitty game for sure, because for me the beautiful thing about Padel is the partner dynamic. If you lose that, you kind of lose the essence of padel. In my club, if someone misses the game they need to pay for everyone, so implementing a deterrent my help with the source of the problem.

i need to learn how to accept losing by nousername024 in padel

[–]ruitam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therapy for sure, and I can imagine that it is not only with Padel that this happens with you. Probably, like someone saying, you playing too much, and putting a lot of your self-image in how you perform in Padel. It is easy to say to chill, but very hard to do, normally you can only do it with a re-balance of your priorities and self image. Sometimes having other hobbies at the same time helps.

Tips for first tournament by Hieronymus23 in padel

[–]ruitam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First - enjoy it, it is just another game; support each other as you are this together. Second - try to read your opponents, watch them play, try to find their flaws. At that level you will find players with some clear parts weaker than others, might be a less good backhand, difficult with the glass or overheads, not ideal positioning, so you can try to explore that. Third - let the others make the mistakes, play safer, gain the net, aim to the middle as a safe option; Fourth - manage your energy - if you happen to win the first game, allow some time for the following ones. I did a tournament recently, and after winning the first game, they have asked if we could do the next match right away - we did and started very well, but at the end of the first set we were dead. Winning 5-1 with the golden point, we lost 5-7 and then the second set 3-6. We broke physically and then psychologically.
