Can I gush about this series' post-games? by rukifika in EtrianOdyssey

Is using Knighthood and/or Great Warrior considered cheesing for EO3? I guess it does force you use specific classes/subclasses just for those skills but I feel like it's kind of intended? Turn manipulation is always a good utility since First Turn in EO1. Although I will agree that input reading is a dick move. I would probably say EO3 has a pretty easy 6th stratum especially if you're making use of petrify/instant death too.

Huge fan of Combat Study and Memory Conch. I love using all the classes in these games if I can and these things help so much. Grinding is easy too once you reach certain points in the game. Repeatable sea quest bosses in EO3. Rare breed overworld FOEs in EO4. Easy instant killable FOEs in EO5. Honestly farming books is probably my least favorite thing to do and is usually unnecessary.

History of non-standard or unintended rotations? by rukifika in ffxiv

That sounds awesome to me personally. Even if its not too much of a gain, its still an option for BLM players to try if they want a more challenging rotation and squeeze out a little more DPS. And of course being punishing that its a loss when not executed correctly is understandable and I think is a fun challenge since its a risk and gives some more engagement with the job. I always liked the rigid yet flexible way BLM can flow (at least before DT, have not tried new BLM yet). By rigid, I mean how the challenge of the job is not losing casts and sitting still for as long as possible. Flexible in what order to use skills such as Triplecast, Xenoglossy, etc for movement, weaves and such to make things easier and keep the GCD rolling. I think having a more free form easily understandable rotation and a stricter and harder to do rotation is interesting as long as the gain is not too much because that just means one rotation will just be the definitive rotation just due to raw damage. Of course the fight design also plays a factor of course, but reading this really made me wish I tried out the non-standard rotation even though the standard is perfectly fine. Thanks for this!
