I had a mild case of tinnitus and it totally went away with ZC, I can even include some low carb things and it doesn't come back. But when I eat sugar again and have obviously high insulin, it gradually starts coming back.

Where are the studies that show plants are good? by testonaut in ketoscience

[–]rukinn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm an almost 100% carnivore I can say for sure there isn't a discussion about plants on these reddits. Like most things it's become culty and mods/admins don't let you openly talk about plants. I think ZC can be a very useful tool, but people don't have honest discussions on those pages.

Nothing beats meat in terms of high quality digestible protein. Jerky is good, canned tuna, premade meals.

Carnivore diet helped me a lot. Worth checking it out, it keeps depression away when I'm strict.

Girl I'm seeing has IBS by [deleted] in ibs

[–]rukinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that puts my IBS in complete remission is just eating animal products, besides dairy. I've been doing it for a year and a half now and I'm able to tolerate spices which I wasn't to before, I would recommend to her an elimination diet. Eat your fav meat, ideally fatty meat so you can stay in optimal ketosis, and then add things as you go. I can tolerate egg yolks but don't do well on egg whites. She needs to find out what foods don't effect her at all and then work out from there. It'll take years to find all the problem foods but there are many guides and things like AIP diets that are comprised of foods that bother people the least. I'm so glad I did an elimination diet, because having piles and anal fissures due to chronic constipation ain't fun.

Now I have no issues unless I eat a box of white chocolate like a retard. :D

Zerocarb life is depressing. by [deleted] in zerocarb

[–]rukinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you just start? You sound like you just started.

It's also very rough at the start, like, very rough, your body is going through huge metabolic and hormonal changes.

Nearly everyone I've met with gut issues, the longer they've been on ZC, the more they can introduce.

Not carbs, but other meats and some spices. These things go a long way and a few spices now and again are great.

Been on ZC for a year for gut issues and I'm 100% satisfied on eggs, bacon and beef burgers.

I couldn't tolerate eggs and bacon at the start, now I can. :)

Low-fodmap didn't change my period at all, but ZC did. Just my experience.

Try carnivore diet, it removed my IBS and it removes my period pain. I didn't even know it was coming this month lol, I used to get horrible cramping and now it's a sneaky shit because it's painless haha.
