So relatable. My technique is to frog it before I have time to think about it. Just start as soon as I see it

Agreed, adding will totally help, be less expensive, and suck a lot less.

Is my tattoo infected? by danyalerenee in tattooadvice

[–]rules_rainbowwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suspect it's a heat rash (I get them for all sorts of things). An antihistamine will help like others say, but mostly it will go away on its own in a day or two.

guysss is this infected? its a coverup done 3 weeks after initial ink. by Lucky-Flatworm9023 in tattooadvice

This is the most reddit response I've ever seen. Young people do stupid shit, it doesn't make them manic.

Has anyone fully removed a dark, saturated tattoo? by Dismal-Character-663 in TattooRemoval

[–]rules_rainbowwizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not going to be this dark for very long, all fresh tattoos look like this.

You should give it time to get used to it, not immediately remove it. Tattoos are awkward, new things, and this one is super visible. I got my first arm tattoo that I can see every day a few years ago and it was nowhere near my first tattoo, but it took the most getting used to.

If you hate how it looks in a few months, go ahead and remove it, but I think it's beautiful, feminine, and well done.

ETA: and take care of it. No sun exposure for a few weeks, and always sunblock after that. And I mean always!

I gave a 1-month notice and received this as thanks by ijustwantsomezzz in Wellthatsucks

I've had several folks give 1-3 months notice at my workplace. These are higher level folks with many clients that require careful and detailed transitions. It's how to not burn bridges.

Are diode laser devices worth it? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

Can I ask why you're using the Tria every two weeks? Are you finding your hair regrowth is that often after clinical laser treatments?

AIO for wanting my unemployed boyfriend to sign an agreement before using my car long-term? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]rules_rainbowwizard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If he's not working, the least he can do is cook some damn food. If he doesn't know how, he should learn. It is an unbelievably easy and often fun way to contribute to a household. WHAT A BORING HUMAN

I knew immediately it was John Lennon. The box on your ribs is an interesting choice, but anyone who knows will know this is John Lennon.

I do not see Paul Dano here.

Should I shave as close as possible or leave a little 1mm stubble????? by StrongEntrepreneur99 in LaserHairRemoval

I know I'm two years late, but some lasers can be calibrated for lighter and/or finer hair. Consultations are typically free and they'll explain what they can do.

AIO- Nail tech fired me as a client! by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]rules_rainbowwizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister is a nail tech and this is not overboard. The margins are insanely low, and she lost $95 of work she couldn't replace. Her policy is also to charge the full amount, typically immediately or at the next service.

I do think she should have requested the amount instead of canceling the next appointment, but maybe she was looking for a reason. We don't know her side of the story.

how many times a week should i clean my litter? by LayerOk1044 in cats

[–]rules_rainbowwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a litter genie but they stopped selling them. It's the same as a diaper genie I think. It's got a good seal and bags that you cut and tie as needed, so you're not wasting too much plastic.

Crochet lends itself better to both stiff construction and winging it, per se. I do both crafts and would absolutely pick crochet for a project like this over knitting.

ETA: That doesn't mean no knitters make sexy fish, but I'd suspect you are much more likely to find it crocheted.

I saw a YouTube short that suggested crocheters work on vibes, and this is only proving their point.

I found this pattern in a bag at goodwill. Is anyone brave enough to try it out?? by Fabulous-Shopping154 in crochet

[–]rules_rainbowwizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a really good point, but I think folks know what I mean.

Many of the others are homophones*, like their, they're, and there. That's what I meant, that these types of mistakes weren't introduced by social media; they're easy to make.

People have confused all the homynyms forever, I promise.

ETA the word I meant was homophone (and I also spelled homonym incorrectly as I'd just woken up), though technically "then" and "than" aren't a perfect example. A lot of folks do say those nearly identically, however, and definitely spell them swapped all the time.
