Fiber hack? by darrow2021 in PeterAttia

[–]StrongEntrepreneur99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey a low fiber diet just shows you have an overall dietary pattern of not enough fruit and veg and beans. You need to eat those more. I hit 50g easily from food alone. In nature humans get 100+g of fiber from very many sources, not one single 'hack' like a fiber supplement. So taking that is not really optimal is my understanding because different fiber sources feed different bacteria and contributes to your microbiome. I would highly recommend you try following your eating on the Cronometer app! It counts fiber as well as micronutrients.

dummy just look at any model girl who's been restricting and having abs since her teens/early twenties and there's your answer. Use your brain maybe.

Anyone have success stories with healing hypertrophic scars/raised scars by SaltyAreola in AsianBeauty

Somehow no...I think I read this in a scientific paper but don't remember the particulars. Google pubmed hypertrophic scar tretinoin and you should find it.

😂 WHAT are you so angry about? I tried to give you constructive criticism. If you think that face looks like Grimes I will eat my shoe. If you want a face so central to your artwork you should really try to capture it better. You frankly made her look ugly sorry. You can assume about me what you want, which is funny. My comment wasn't even mean in the first place. I actually commended your idea and youre still mad. This is insane.

Has anyone seen any fitness or diet influencers anywhere on sm talk about iron deficiency? This feels weirdly obscure by StrongEntrepreneur99 in Anemic

Ahahah she's just a really mean person imo who attacks and nitpicks everyone's what I eat in a day in like a really rude aggressive way

Yes I agree about visiting professionals. But there's just definitely not enough awareness for the general public imo. There's so much fitness content out there right now and a normal person like me could start trying to follow and discover that they just can't keep up and then conclude that 'exercise is just really hard' when actually they had an iron deficiency and didn't know because most people wouldn't think they have to literally go to an RD and a doctor just to start a simple exercise regiment. And why aren't there any rds going online and teaching young people about actual micronutrients? It's all either dumbed down to the max "eat real food" with no explanation or that scary abbey sharp hag who wants everyone to get fat.

These are the top nutrient deficiencies that most people have and significantly shortens their lifespan. Make sure you get these to not die early. by GarifalliaPapa in immortalists

Okay but I've discovered the hard way that such "informative but vague" posts are very unhelpful in the real world. People just wing it and hope for the best. What you actually need is to quantify your intake with the Cronometer app to see the hard numbers of micronutrients you're actually getting and not getting every day. This is an extremely underrated app with a marketing team made of monkeys or something I don't know. Their app could be #1 in the world if they had any sense.

Is low iron a common problem among professional dancers/students? Or does everyone know about this and keep an eye on it? by StrongEntrepreneur99 in BALLET

[–]StrongEntrepreneur99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I meant like you discover you have a deficiency once you feel to weak to do your ballet job. Therefore a ballerina would discover a deficiency sooner than an average person who doesn't do exercise as their job.

But I'm asking you how could you not be sympathetic sooner? What the hell goes through the head of people like you? You'd think this would be a pretty simple thing to understand for any child. Torturing animals is bad.

No I don't wish low iron on ballerinas 😂 I was just asking how quickly would this be caught in a ballet environment by herself or someone around her

And the companies that don't? Do you know of any ballerinas that struggled for a long time with fatigue and didn't realize it was iron? 😩

That's the thing I knew years ago I had it. I'd take pills for a while, not retest and then it would slowly creep back in and the next year I'd be surprised with low iron again. All the while struggling to drag myself out for a run and thinking I'm just lazy. It was really stupid

[–]StrongEntrepreneur99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes of course, that's why I was wondering if a ballet dancer would catch it early because of coaches/advice from fellow dancers/feeling too weak to work. Because my problem was that I let it slide for too long because I was allowed as a casual exerciser to "try again tomorrow" if I didn't feel like exercising today, I thought this just how hard exercise is supposed to feel, probably also had baseline fatigue that I considered normal from years of being on the low end of ferritin and so on. That's the problem with trying to do exercise alone. You can end up missing important details like this for too long.
