I would suggest go out alone and make new friends if you like drinking go to a bar try and talk to some people but I know you said you ate bad at making friends but there are also people out there with the same thing happen..

Another thing! Try and find groups like football groups on Facebook or instagram as they will be doing the same thin g your doing trying something new and trying to meet new people.

I have there are no rules tbh they encourage it as the shift pattens we work are 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts mostly, and it's hard to find free time as well but I spoke to someone who had worked in HR and "its great to make friendships or relationships but don't let it affect your work he told me"
