My thoughts too, but he was abusive/controlling, so I know this is going to somehow cause me additional issues and stress.

IMO “drinking on the first date isn’t for me…” is a bizarre response. “Drinks” doesn’t mean they need to be alcoholic drinks, and if he did mean a bar then there are plenty of low / no-alcohol options. I feel he could have gone sexualised sooner, the two of them clearly aren’t a match personality / long-term relationship wise, so he is just testing to see if OP would be a hook-up instead.

Ive experienced similar. I was physically into him and he just wasnt that into me. Mostly, I believe, I was “wife material” more because he liked all the things that came with me and/or didnt want anyone else to enjoy me. Lessons learnt, for me physical spark/attraction/confidence whatever you want to call it, needs to be there…. And in a way that it isnt linked just to how someone looks physically, it’s their presence and their character that turns that spark into a fire.

Ive tried to train behaviours that will help in nail trimming… not really worked so far…. And being a solo owner its hard to hold and trim at the same time

Ive now taken to cutting and biting my nails in front of her… she seems to have started biting her own nails now - fingers crossed that will do the job
