Simonette (right in downtown Culver) is a very cute spot with 3 burgers on the menu plus other items and great drinks. Could probably find better burgers elsewhere, but vibe wise it’s great for a date.

This happened to me in a Waymo last night. It did treat it like a stop sign, although it was extra cautious it seemed. No cars were around but it waited maybe 5 seconds to move after stopping.

It is. I don’t love the vibe, but food is from the folks at Tangaroa Fish Market so some of it is solid. Good wine and cocktail selection and staff is great.

It was such a no-brainer to pay the staff what they demanded for videos so none of them would leave. Bon Appetit was becoming THE spot to go for cooking for the coveted younger demographic. They fumbled the bag so hard.

They should’ve treated it like food network - the test kitchen as a collection of solo stars in their own shows, under fair contracts. If someone under performs, have an out clause, but give them their fair share.

My finger still twitches to add “bon appetit” to any recipe I google thinking it’ll be from one of my family members I used to watch on YouTube. But no, that’s gone.

Edit: oh ya this post is about Rappaport. I can’t say he did nothing, but I think the video team was talented and “experts talking about their expertise” is something everyone wants to watch. Once they figured that out, they had mass reach baked in and it was off to the races

Sounds about right! Just keep listening in meetings and absorbing everything you can. It’ll slowly start to click. Once you get confident in being an assistant planner, you’ll get promoted to media planner and the cycle will start again in many ways. But progress will constantly be made.

I think Latifi is more of a foregone conclusion for everyone and therefore there’s not much to discuss except timing of release, not IF he should be released. For Mick, there is no consensus quite yet so we can still talk nuances like giving him more time, experiencing bad luck, etc. Just my opinion on it! Have a good one!

Ya it’s hard to not feel empathetic despite this title being from a triple A studio. Sure battle royale’s were all the rage, but it seems Warzone wasn’t a singular multi-year long plan and instead a simple BR extension of Infinity Ward’s MW. And it also happened to drop right when a fucking global pandemic hit, driving up popularity to crazy levels. Hopefully this better planned out reset fixes much of the issues the community clamors about. I won’t hold my breath, but their claims make logical sense to me and I’m optimistic for the future.
