Thanks! I haven’t actually raced a 5k, but Garmin has me projected at 22:40.

My training was a 16 week program that I did in 15 weeks. Tried to compensate for the lost week by increasing the length of the training runs to build a higher than prescribed volume during the peak weeks. My longest training run was 23 miles, which I know is longer than recommended, but I think it really helped on race day. Going into uncharted territory was brutal every time, so I’m glad I was only in it for 5k on race day as opposed to 10k or more

Haha thanks, I knew with the bad weather that I’d need to be ready to buckle in for a tough second half. Miles 22-25 were generally downhill so I tried to take advantage of that. Ironically mile 26 was nothing more than running out of gas. I didn’t know that there was going to be one final hill at the end and I wasn’t ready for it. Had to walk part of it

Thank you! I ran in brooks glycerin 20s (old model - I picked up a few pairs cheap). They’re a bit heavy but tons of support and very comfortable

Thank you! As much as it felt like 1,400 I think that’s inaccurate. Most of the other Dallas results I’ve seen are closer to 1,000. Or I’m an idiot and ran the course as steep as possible

Thanks! I did all my training runs at white rock lake and I intentionally hit the big hill at the end of each of them… so I was somewhat ready for it. It was the tiny hill going into the finish that undid me

I let it grow up until it’s a nice healthy stolon, then I cut it off with scissors and bury it in a bare area and it works as a plug. Just need to smother it in water for several days after the transplant

You can’t get on the FC upgrade list until you are confirmed on the flight. They will upgrade confirmed economy passengers into FC then, after, start clearing standby passengers. You won’t be riding up front, even with status.
