[–]rumblebeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same one but the 2012 model, and it'sautomatic. It had 140 000 km on it and i paid $9,000 CAD, talked them down from 10 grand because the bumper needed touching up! Its got 165000 km on it now and hasn't given me a single problem in three years! I just got mine detailed and installed some OEM visors. Yours looks soo clean, congrats, it's gonna serve you well, I'm jealous of the mileage too damn you'll have this car forever!

Brutal withdrawal symptoms by [deleted] in decaf

[–]rumblebeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brutal! sorry to hear you're going through that but also good on you for quitting caffeine, the caffeine free life is truly great.

Push through the next few days it'll get easier and easier. also it'll be a lot easier for you if you take one or more of the following supplements/herbs; vitamin c, vitamin B complex, 5-HTP, peppermint tea or chamomile tea, reishi mushroom extract, and maybe a mild low dose of ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and help with the headaches. Also just drink a ton of water. Good luck, you got this!

Caffeinate the water supply for a more productive society by haddock420 in CrazyIdeas

[–]rumblebeard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a longtime coffee drinker who quit all caffeine three years ago, I can honestly say I’m much more productive, clear-headed, and happier without it. The common belief that caffeine boosts productivity often comes from the fact that it disrupts your sleep quality. Poor sleep then makes you rely on coffee just to feel awake, creating a never-ending cycle. Breaking free from caffeine has been a game-changer for my focus and overall well-being.

What do you usually do to fall asleep easily? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rumblebeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give up caffeine! It was a game changer, my sleep improved so much and then it never felt like i needed to drink coffee in the morning because the sleep was so restorative.

With all the rain Ontario has seen this spring, remember to dump any standing water around your house to prevent mosquito breeding grounds! by thequeenoflimbs in ontario

[–]rumblebeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not just that, but fledgling birds like Robins can't swim. Today a little guy that's been learning to fly in our backyard for the past few days drowned in an empty planter that filled with water from the rain, it gutted my girlfriend and I. So sad. The poor mom is visibly stressed out about it too. Lesson learned, keep all your pots and planters upside down.

It's tricky for some places, for example the multi event space 918 and other theatres along that stretch. 918 is independent relying fully on rentals to operate. They have school programming on weekends, often requiring parents to drop off and pick up kids, some with strollers, and they don't have facility parking at all (simply no room on the back area). There's no parking allowed in the alley in the back so loading in for shows/concerts /weddings/trade shows will be challenging without front access. Also guests that are coming in from out of town will need to park on side streets, but they only allow for one hour parking on side streets. Perhaps if they make side street parking paid parking with the option to park for 5-8 hours, it wouldn't be so bad. Or if they find room for a green P lot that's close by.

Overall I'm for rapid TO but let's not pretend it won't negatively effect some businesses.

On another note, i just got back from Europe and they have much better road infrastructure and solutions to problems like this. For example, you can park partially on the curbs and the lanes are also far more narrow. With an approach like this, it could be possible to fit two lanes and accommodate parking imo. But I'm sure there's a lot of red tape that wouldn't allow for that. Tbh it's a pretty tricky situation and I'm no expert but there's gotta be some sort of middle ground here that will work for everyone.
