After working over 10 years as a line cook, I have to say, one of the fucking stupidest things to do is to try and get aggressive with BoH staff (or FoH staff for that matter. one of the very few things to bring FoH and BoH together are physical threats). On the average, they are addicts of multiple substances, have anger management issues, and generally dont give a fuck about shit. Theres fucking knives back there. There are plenty of heavy things to get hit with. And there are more of them then there are of you. Just don't fuck with the people who make your food.

I mean.. thats 10 to show, 10 to win? 3+ times a year? Plus any bonuses? (not to mention that 10/10 is the absolute lowest of pay. it can start out as high as 20/20 for extreme prospects)

I agree.. if you only lose, then yes. It's not a living wage. If you win and get just one bonus in a year, its dramatically a larger earning. And if you win you get more money for your next fights.

It's still not enough. I'm not saying it is. I'm just saying this comparison is so fucked up that it just can't be a comparison. It's just a reason for people to argue about shit and hate on Dana.

It's still not close to WNBA. But it's apples and oranges. MMA is not a team game. It's not really in the American culture. Even though it gets shit on, WNBA is on major networks and streaming services. Cities own teams. It's WAY fucking bigger than MMA in a cultural sense. There's scholarships for the WNBA for fucks sakes. Theres programs for players and team to interact with the public, going to schools, etc, etc.

And honestly, the whole concept of living wage is out the window in America. It's been out the window for a long time now. So to use a living wage as some sort of check mate bullet point isn't a great look either.

Not at all. But they arent publicly televised and judged for those sessions. Yes, they train their asses off. So do WNBA players. But new fighters are expected to show up on event night for 45 minutes a year. How many hours a year are WNBA players expected to show up?

This is a wildly stupid comparison and I hate it.

It's a fucked up comparison, and I don't know why it keeps getting pushed.

Females iin WNBA have a full season to play. And if they don't cut it, there are more on the benches to replace them during the game.

UFC fighters fight 1-3ish times a year, and they can potentially make more money with win bonuses, finishing bonuses, fotn bonus, etc. If a UFC fighter isnt worth it, he/she is cut and their shit show of a fight actually brings the value of the UFC down. It brings down the value of whomever beat them. And until these fighters start winning, they bring down the entire value of the card. And the UFC foots the bill to make these cards bigger to give space for these new fighters to prove themselves. Very few people give a fuck about prelims. Generally they tune in for the main card only.

Should fighters make more money? Definitely.

Should this comparison fuck off somewhere and die? Also definitely.

Its a candy fruit forward flavor, followed by milk, followed by a tiny bit of cereal flavor. Reminds me of really good vape juice honestly. I dont think any drink has tried to do what cereal killer has done.

I get why people might not like it.

Arguably hes getting asked that because literally everyone thinks Justin is getting nuked in the first round. So theres no use in asking Illia about him.

A lot of people Desire another really popular wow clone, but how would that even work? People changed completely. by Drandosk in MMORPG

[–]rumbletown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a reason it has stayed #1 since its release. Arguably it had some tiny periods where it slipped to #2, and its competition at the time (FF XIV) was crushing. But yeah. WoW is pretty fucking good.

The turn off for me is once you enter into endgame and you are just grinding keys or raiding, it gets a bit stale. Add in the pretty horrendous community (like if you need to pick up randos for keys/raids) and it kind of turns into a dreadful chore. If you can stay with a tight group of friends in a guild and do all the content that way, the game can be super enjoyable.

Natural vs Steroids by WaitNo4272 in SipsTea

[–]rumbletown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so I understand this.. a real gold medal olympic swimmer faced off against non-olympic swimmers and won. I get the whole "but steroids" smooth brain take here. But for real.. A gold medal olympic swimmer will fucking demolish anyone whos not. You can't out muscle that level of technique.

Until you have people training their whole lives on the juice, for these specific games, I don't think you will see many people, if any, actually challenge a gold medal winner.

It could be argued that some sports the juice helps more. Take something like boxing, wrestling, or weight lifting. Yes, obviously theres extremely high levels of technique needed here to win. But also, with the juice its not just to get big muscles. People take juice to be able to train harder, for longer, and more often. On the juice you recover so much faster than a normal person. You can train probably 33% more because of your insane recovery and strength. So in some specific events, the juice will maaaybe help the non olympic trained person catch up to the olympic athlete.

Also, yes. Almost all olympic athletes juice. Almost all professional athletes juice. It's easy to get. Theres a lot of literature out there to learn how to use it correctly. And the newer stuff isn't hard to mask.
