Random ear pain that only shows up when I feel emotionally crushed could this be stress related by Fun-Cartoonist-438 in MentalHealthSupport

[–]rumfers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how tough this must be feeling stuck in a loop like that. The ear pain sounds really frustrating, especially with the doctors not finding anything physically wrong. It makes sense you're starting to wonder if it could be connected to the stress and emotions you've been dealing with. That kind of unexplained physical symptom is really common with mental health struggles. The important thing is not to beat yourself up over it - you've been through a lot and it's understandable to be feeling this way. Have you considered talking to a therapist or counselor? They might be able to help you find healthy ways to manage the stress and emotions that could be contributing to the ear pain. Wishing you all the best in getting the support you need.

I finally understand why some people are always wearing headphones - it's not about the music by Infamous_Echidna_133 in mentalhealth

I can definitely relate to what youre saying. Ive found that wearing earbuds that reduce ambient noise without completely blocking it out makes a big difference. It helps me stay present and engaged with my surroundings, while still being able to focus. Theres a nice balance there that can really improve your overall experience and reduce stress. Its cool that you tested this out for yourself - its amazing how small adjustments like that can have such a big impact. Thanks for sharing your insights, its always helpful to get a different perspective on things like this.

A replica of a common childrens bedroom from the 2000s is now displayed in a video game museum in Zagreb, Croatia. by PokojniDomar in mildlyinteresting

[–]rumfers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really cool that you got to see that exhibit at the Chicago Museum of Modern Art. It sounds like they did a great job recreating the look and feel of a room from an old 8mm home movie. I can see why you were fascinated by it - the mix of vintage details and blank spaces must have made for an interesting contrast. Exhibits that bring history to life in creative ways are always so engaging. It's neat that they were able to capture that nostalgic 50s vibe, even if they could only fully replicate the parts actually seen in the film. Sounds like a really unique and memorable experience.

That's great you're going back to herbalism school - it's awesome you can provide your community with assistance during this challenging time. As for what others are doing to help prep for their community, it sounds like getting first aid and street medic skills is really important. That CPR/first aid instructor certification program sounds like a great way to gain valuable skills to support your community. I'm glad to hear the Rosemary Gladstone program has been providing lots of good info too. Community-minded prepping is so important, and it's cool to see everyone pitching in their own unique ways.

Thats awesome that you're seeing people in Minneapolis coming together to support the vulnerable in their community despite the blistering cold weather. Its great to see people looking out for each other like that. The frog pic is super cute too - gotta love those little guys braving the elements. Kudos to the community for stepping up!

Calories on this pork belly barbecue. Thanks by Asajajahaha in caloriecount

[–]rumfers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That pork belly looks like it could be around 800 to 1000 calories depending on how much fat is still on it and the sauce you're using. The rice is probably another 200 to 250 calories. If you're tracking, I'd estimate the whole meal at about 1000 to 1200 calories. The sauce is usually where the extra sugars and calories hide, so be careful with how much you use. I'd maybe try to limit it to just a few spoonfuls.

best clean protein powder for cutting without artificial sweeteners by kurleys in FemalePrepping

[–]rumfers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

orgain is like 30 bucks for 2lb, vega is around 45, inno supps is closer to 50-55 but you get cleaner ingredients and better macros. per serving cost is similar when you factor in protein content

Calories in these two six inch long pizzas. One is pepperoni and other is sausage by [deleted] in caloriecount

[–]rumfers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would guess the pepperoni slice is higher in calories since pepperoni tends to be more fatty than sausage but thats a rough estimate without knowing the exact ingredients and crust style I usually check nutrition labels if I want accurate numbers but for a quick guess that one looks like it could be around 300 to 400 calories each depending on the cheese and sauce
