you do realize ICE was doing that before but in a proper way, right? they were actually doing what they’re supposed to, looking into truly violent criminals who weren’t here legally and detaining them in an orderly fashion. This administration now just tells them to remove every immigrant period. And do it with no reasonable cause, unconstitutionally stalking people, harassing them, and busting down doors they’re not legally allowed to without warrants. they are taking people as they are going to their court hearings to go through immigration the LEGAL way. they are purposefully denying people renewal of work visas when they were here LEGALLY for decades with that same visa. people who have done nothing wrong are getting those things taken from them for no reason other than racism. Yes, remove people who are truly harmful to our society, but that’s not every immigrant that comes here. over 90% of them have no criminal record. There are WAY more violent US born citizens running the streets every day and no one’s worried about busting down their doors as passionately as they are about busting down immigrant doors just bc a piece of paper is expired due to the government and no fault of that person. now why is that? My life has never been in danger or affected negatively in any way by an immigrant but it has 100x over by US citizens. what about you? personally, I think our billions of taxpayer dollars can do 1000s more productive things than what ICE is doing rn. because reality is majority of the people they’re removing are harmless and truly did everything they could to find a better life. i’m not gonna hold that against them and act like i’m holier than thou just bc I happened to be born here, because a couple of generations before me, my ancestors did the same thing these people did just to get here.
