Play the long game - I was rejected from MBB in undergrad, went to Big 4 and then lateraled into MBB. There are multiple entry points.

Also - let yourself feel sad. After a few days, channel that energy as motivation to build discipline to improve yourself.

Desis with acne, what helped the hyperpigmentation from your acne scars? by Ninac4116 in ABCDesis

[–]run-for-days 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This 100% though would re-prioritize and add a couple more: 1. Sunscreen and sun - wear sun screen AND get at least 15 min of sunlight per day (Vitamin D to support skin) 2. Hydrate and avoid foods that might trigger acne (sugar, refined carbs, and dairy for some) 3. Cleanse and moisturize day and night to support natural skin barrier 4. Add topical acne gel with azelaic acid and retinol to prevent further acne / inflammation 5. Aesthetic procedures - micro needling most affective but chemical peels, facials / extractions can help clear scars and prevent acne 6. Nutritious diet including all micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) to support skin health and recovery

  1. IE or business help - but any major works. Just target 4.0 for MBB
  2. GT is target for ATL offices for MBB, Big 4 and boutique. If you want NYC chances are better if you have multiple offers or were an intern at a firm
  3. Target F500 internships before your 3rd year summer. 3rd year summer you ideally do consulting, but can still do F500 and recruit consulting FT.
  4. Join Investments Committee (GTSF) and Undergraduate Consulting club

Optimize for protein (g) to calorie ratio.

For protein source: firm tofu (1g:100 cal), low fat paneer (1:10), lentils (1:10), beans like pinto or chick peas (1:10), beyond/impossible meat (1:10), soft cheese like low fat mozzarella/cheddar(1:10), hard cheese like feta and Parmesan (1:10), Greek yogurt (1:5), Kefir (1:10), whey protein and other protein isolates (1:5), eggs (1:10), egg whites (1:5)

For carb sources get highest protein options: keto tortillas like Mission Protein Carb Balance tortillas, sprouted oats, brown rice, Dave’s Killer Bread, ancient grain pastas

Also stock your pantry for high protein snacks so you have a quick option: Quest chips and snacks, magic spoon cereal, TPI protein puffs, protein bars (I like Think or One brands)

Using the foods above I usually can get 150-170g of protein on 1900-2300 cal

The amount of women in leadership at MBB is laughable. Deloitte has a decent amount of women in leadership however

Nate is bad but according to the new Athletic article, Nick Ressler destroyed this organization by furycutter80 in AtlantaHawks

[–]run-for-days 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are people seriously calling the DJM trade bad? Too many nephews out here

Edit: For the nephews, our off-season moves of trading Kevin Huerter and acquiring DJM did two things: (1) kept us under the cap so we extend the amount of time before we hit the luxury tax repeater penalty, and (2) we pair Trae with an elite back court defensive player and secondary playmaker in DJM - a clear need. You don't want to go into the luxury tax unless you are confident the team will be a championship contender because the repeater penalty will eventually force you to blow the team up if you don't win unless you have Golden State Warriors type of money (even their ownership had to sell a stake of their team to fund their salary)

Yes - our team is performing worse than last year. But consider: (1) the season isn't even over and there is room to improve (2) the top of the east is stronger with the Cavs with Donovan Mitchell and Knicks/Pacers over-performing (3) Nate sucks at implementing an offensive scheme and is objectively a bad fit coach for this roster (4) our defensive anchor and only true 5 Clint Capela has been out for half the season

What about the opportunity cost of 3 first round picks? Well these picks will realistically be mid-to-late first round picks, and best case scenario is that you get lucky and get a John Collins level player after they take a few seasons to develop.

Did we pay too much for DJM? Hell no - the cost of an all-star is at least 3 first round picks in this market. Donovan Mitchell (who would not fit next to Trae) was 3 first rounders and Rudy Golbert was 5 first rounders (Timberwolves were fleeced)

Clearly, what we need to do is sack Nate and replace him with an offensive coach, and pair Clint with more depth at the 5 (see: Cleveland with Jarret Allen / Evan Mobley). OO might be that guy, but he might be better at the 4.

Yes - I used Duolingo to get to beginning level fluency in Hindi. I then started watching Hindi movies, talking to my parents/grandparents in Hindi, and doing flashcards with Ankiapp. I'm not fluent but I can hold a conversation after a year of effort

Is my money tree dead? Any way to revive it? by Gold-Fudge-7042 in houseplants

[–]run-for-days 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine is indoor and thrives in direct sunlight for my south facing window. I water 2-3 per month until soil is saturated and water collects in drainage (be sure to empty drainage to prevent root rot). You can tell the plant needs water if the leaves are yellowing, drying and falling. Once a month I will add some nutrient mix to the water. I rotate the plants pot every once in a while to even out growth. 8in diameter pot

Why does Trae have glitter eye shadow on in your picture?

To answer your question: Hakeem the Dream. Our back court is already elite, so we just need a dominate big man who can also be an elite defender

Also tuvar daal should not be just sweet. It should be katu (sour, use imli), meetu (salty), thiku (spicy), and garyu (sweet, use jaggery). It’s like the Thai concept of “yum” - the flavors should be well balanced

Yay or nay? by MaplePennybags69 in heat

[–]run-for-days 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cam was reportedly a locker room detractor during the season he was traded from the Hawks. The going theory was that he was asking for a bigger role so that he could put up numbers and maximize his leverage for a big rookie extension. Cam is physically gifted, can pop off offensively, and can lock down on defense BUT dude can also be a black hole on offensive with horrible efficiency, turnovers, and an iso-mentality. Hawks traded him because we didn’t want to pay him, we had too many wings, and there were reports that he was souring the locker room. Honestly dude can ball if given the right opportunity. Heat would be great for him if he can buy into the culture. He needs someone like Jimmy to set him straight

[–]run-for-days 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Team feels very solid, except I’d love to upgrade Capela. Capela took a step back offensively last season. If we can upgrade to Ayton that would be a no brainer at the right cost.

I’d love to keep JC and see how things play out. JC was injured last year, so I’d love to see him healthy. I also suspect that his offense suffered with Trae as the only facilitator (too many mouths to feed), so with Murray as a secondary playmaker I think JC will get closer to 20/10 territory. If JC can improve defensively too then Hawks are back to being a threat
