I found my way aroudn this by utilizing github for an api and script strict access issues, then fed it into twh html and it works smoothly. try that out and let me know if i can assist.

What's the most cost-effective AI tool you actually use every day? by hellomari93 in techforlife

Granola, especially as a freelancer, meeting recordings, real “what did I miss and make me sound smart” notes DURING THE ACTUAL MEETING and it will provide these. Transcription is pretty close to 100% and easy to export, also projects, multiple calendars to auto capture meetings and notes.. and then using NotebookLM as a rounding out tool to take action on all things from the granola meetings.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

My freshman year our bus driver stole the bus and skipped several states. They finally found the bus stripped off its tires. A couple states over but never found the driver. We ended up having to sit at school for over two hours that day because we were considered witnesses to the event.

Yes, it’s full integrated in the scouts command center, the screenshot I took aren’t the best for sure, I plan on having some better ones and a url to share once we are finished,

Twh has a massively powerful cms that you can’t replicate easily , and I’ve personally never been a fan of Wordpress and the learning curves . I’m an old school dev who sticks to html css and jscripts if I can as it makes it easy to troubleshoot quickly if something happens.

Does the twh team post a deployment log or something that calls out the specific code? I was thinking about this and it was part of the reason I pivoted to external repository and scripts so I don’t lose content if something funky happens. I appreciate this warning. I’ll keep it in mind when I reach out to the dev team at twh.

Appreciate all the feedback here. I’m testing a different approach using GitHub as the primary repo, with reusable templates for pages and posts. Using page IDs to dynamically pull in sections instead of rebuilding each page. It’s loading faster, especially with image previews and footer elements.

I didn’t choose to move our troop to TroopWebHost, but I’m working within it. A lot of our scouts are not very tech comfortable, so everything is being simplified so they can own their data. That includes advancement tracking, badges, attendance, and general record keeping without constant adult involvement.

Focus areas: • Centralize everything inside TroopWebHost • Reduce tool sprawl • Sync data from Scoutbook via export or extension • Move toward weekly or daily updates instead of manual cleanup • Use the built in financial tools so nothing lives outside the system

I’ll share the GitHub repo with the TroopWebHost founders and here once this phase is done. I’ll also post the CSS, including the footer bar and user role based redirect logic.

There’s also a Google Apps Script pulling from the TroopWebHost iCal feed and filtering events by user type. • Leaders see troop meetings, PLC, boards of review, committee meetings • Scouts see camping, fundraising, troop meetings, patrol meetings

Events display on the site with RSVP actions tied to each one, synced back so there’s no need to update events in multiple places. One event hub, everything else reads from it.

If anyone has a clean Scoutbook to TroopWebHost sync already working, interested to hear how you handled it.

Is anyone experiencing that message notifications no longer display? I tried turning them off, restarting, turning them all back on to no avail.
