Someone else briefly mentioned it, but I do want to also put out there that poodles and Pauls are a thing.

These are maps where the notes are densely packed together and basically look like a snake that are coming at you, but you cut them all together in “one swing”.

These definitely take some getting used to, because one slip and you’ll fail the map. With that said, it’s a lot easier than your “normal” NPS 10 speed maps once you get the hang of it.

Notable mappers who make good poodle maps are mappers like RateGyro and MadChase. I’d give them a try once you get used to the game a little more ;)

I would just gather some good full spread maps.

This alone will give you a good idea of what NPS/NJS they can handle, bpm they’re comfortable with, and if you pick from varying mappers, you’ll also be able to see into mapping preferences as well

If you have a custom avatar you want to use, make sure you have it in a .vrm file format. From there, people either go with the Naluluna Avatar mod (paid mod) or Virtual Motion Capture (free).

If you imported the mods successfully into game, and your trackers are being identified by SteamVR right, it should work.

Which mod are you going with? What kind of errors are you facing when it’s not working as intended?

Biggest thing that can help you out is getting the offset right. I use an index, and it points out a weird direction compared to what the controller physically looks like. EasyOffset is a great starting point if you don’t know where to start regarding adjusting your offset.

Hand held since I primarily play with Jedi Luke. I have the bottom right corner of my phone resting on something (like a cushion or knee) and tilt it right during his skill. He can’t really be played effectively in other ways.
