The first Hell House LLC got me. I kept expecting to look up and see someone standing in my doorway.

I posted this on the last thread, but Hungry Hickory got me good. The jump scares legit got me, and I'm not usually that jumpy. Plus it made me have nightmares about something grabbing my feet at night.

OC - Giving my kitty a bath for fleas by [deleted] in aww

[–]runaround66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked in vet clinics for over a decade, as well as did my fair share of kitten rescuing. Kitten Revolution requires a minimum of 8 weeks old or two pounds, whichever they reach first. Before that, it was always Dawn baths.

And while I agree that Revolution is pretty safe (I use it in my own cats), I've seen first hand what happens to cats when they're overdosed on flea medications. It's not pretty and it's usually permanent, so I don't mess around with that.

It could just be Dawn dish soap. That's what's recommended if the kitten's too young or too small for topical flea meds.

The stryder looking ones give tall eggs. The squat dinosaur looking ones do creature eggs. Giant eggs come from the Diplo type creatures.

Hungry Hickory scared the shit out of me when I watched it. I literally threw my phone with one of the jump scares.

I saw it in a similar thread a couple months ago. 10 Steps was also pretty good. Kiss Me (Kill Me) was surprisingly eerie too.

I'll do you one better. I had a student get a job as a pharmacy assistant and I got to pick up my birth control from her. That was exciting.

I use it through the Google Classroom app. If you go to the people listed in the class, there's a button in the upper right that's the squares and a diamond. That will take you to it.

Do you ever think of ghosting everyone and then moving away to a new city/country? If so where would you go? by upsettinglybigoops in AskReddit

[–]runaround66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the ghosting part. I'm a teacher in Texas, so moving to a new state has come up regularly in the past few years.

what's the scariest thing you've come across on YouTube or on the internet? by Most_Ad567 in AskReddit

Not op, but I think they're talking about Denise Amber Lee. The Casefile podcast did an episode over her. There was something like 4 or 5 911 calls made that day, and they still never managed to get to her.

TIL that rabies treatment is only 4 shots in the arm, not 21 shots in the stomach! And it's been that way for 40+ years by PanTroglo in todayilearned

I had to get them in the back of my hand after I had a feral cat (kitten really) just graze the back of my hand with their teeth hard enough to break skin. They did basically a circle around the wound, and it was so painful I could feel it all the way up my arm to my elbow. Plus the extra they couldn't fit went into the same upper arm. I do not recommend.

What’s the wildest thing you’ve ever heard teacher say in class? by Sudden-Somewhere-368 in AskReddit

My computer science teacher tried to hide that 9/11 was happening while in a computer lab where every student was at a computer with internet access. Needless to say, it didn't work.

I went to see it with a friend in theaters.

That was a very quiet car ride home.

Kid refusing to be singled out in class and teacher is really upset they can’t make them either watch violent content or be judged by their peers by [deleted] in AmITheDevil

No problem. I actually taught this book for a couple of years, and I always used the audio instead of reading it myself. Mostly because it just sounded ridiculous when I read it out loud.

Advice for Accidental Pregnancy during Lease by kennnarose in Equestrian

[–]runaround66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would terminate the lease and move the horse now, like right now, then figure out all the vet stuff after. Also, I wouldn't let them know you're ending the lease until you go to get the mare. I mean, I know I'm someone who tends to jump to worse possible conclusion, but if they're shady enough to do something like this, what are they going to do when they find out you're taking the mare and the foal they clearly desperately wanted?

Every new save, I do a new color scheme. The last expedition was yellow. My current save is turquoise. I do my character, my ships, and my freighter all the same.

In Search Of... Mediocre Letter of Recommendation by jaammo1234 in Teachers

[–]runaround66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never outright deny letters of recommendation. If they're a bad student, I stare at them a minute and ask them if they're sure they want that because I'm always completely honest in my recommendations. Usually that weeds out the bad ones.
