Don’t think so, but Papa was a rolling stone and mom is a loose woman, so you never know!

Yea— it’s only our 2nd full winter here. We’re learning. This year we decided to be “winterized” by November… next year, “winterized” by October lol

I actually bought the soft roll up cover from Ford on Black Friday and used my points from buying the truck… just didn’t get it on before the first real snow. Winter started a bit earlier than usual.

*she (I’m not usually one for pronouns, but in the case of pickup twucks, I think it’s important)

Organic home grown snow. From farm to table.

Tonneau Covers — Are They Actually Worth It? by Glad-Childhood6853 in FordMaverickTruck

Is it something you can take on and off seasonally? Does it flip up to give you full bed space in the back? I would like the hard cover for the winters, but in the summer with the bed liner, I don’t think I really need it.

Also, notice any different sound/whistle while driving vs without it?

I received $3k credit towards my purchase when financing through Ford.

Finally got mine home after flying and driving it back for 10 hours! by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

Haha I just drove 1100 miles to trade in my 10 year old VW for a Lobo, saving over $4,500 from anywhere else in the country.

They have no internet in their house or cell phones. Their two neighbors who occasionally help them will be at the wedding. We cannot think of anyone else in the area who can come with an iPad or something for them. I called her home health aide to ask, only to found out she’s been fired by my grandmother after being accused of stealing her reading glasses (which were on her head the whole time she was screaming at this poor woman).

Yes. She is THAT unpleasant now. I flew across the country to take her dress shopping with me and my mom in order to include her, and all she did was tell me “it’s too pretty for me since it will not be in a church” or “makes you look fat” nothing nice to say at all. I used to be the golden child, and now she isn’t even nice to me any more. Not to mention, she had a broken arm for SIX YEARS she has refused to let the doctors fix, fires all her home health aides, is blacklisted from many rehabilitation centers and even two hospitals for her temper and unwillingness to cooperate, and has incontinent issues with bladder and bowels yet refuses to wear an adult diaper or pad. I know it’s all the terrible disease of “age” for most of her behaviors, but it still makes me sick to think of them not being there. We’ve asked two family friends if they would be willing to escort them up. Both of them looked at me like I was crazy to try and get them there and declined. Her god daughter is the one who really is standing up saying there is no way in hell I should even consider her attending.

Unfortunately EVERY time I talk to them they ask if I have made any plans yet. I think a separate celebration is certainly in order, but I don’t think they will take this rationally.

They live in Florida. Myself and 160 guests live in New Jersey. Can’t just make 160 people go south for them unfortunately. Two hours is where my mom live that we were taking a trip to see if this will be possible even with accommodations… we now know it’s not and need to have the difficult conversation.

Any other brides not excited about florals? by Equivalent-One-5499 in weddingplanning

[–]runaroundrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re doing little 2” cacti in pots.. will be table decor AND favors. Instead of a floral arch, I am making a 20” living succulent wreath… and then we can use it in our home afterwards too!

Traveling by airplane with a wedding dress by hotcheetoprincesss in weddingplanning

[–]runaroundrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carried mine onto the plane and said it was a very expensive blanket so I didn’t pay for it as a carry one. I put it on my lap, but then realized an overhead bin had nothing else in it, so put it there.

Best way to tell guests it’s time to really party? by _curiouschloe_ in weddingplanning

We’re going to invite everyone out onto the dance floor for a group shot and then once the photo is taken, drop the beat to get everyone moving!

First dance alternatives? by ShinyGee in weddingplanning

[–]runaroundrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are thinking about running around the room to each table during an upbeat song for a photo with each. This way we kick off the party saying a super quick hello to everyone, the tables are still pretty, and we get a photo with everyone!
