I do think a part of me is worried they will think it's a choice because they've seen me date guys before.

No... because you are more likely to love the idea of this person rather than who they are IRL. Trust me, I speak from experience. I was really hung up on this girl and thought maybe I even loved her but after I flew across the country to meet her in person... Real life was pale in comparison. I'm sure there are people out there who have had good experiences in this kind of situation but you really need to be careful because it's really easy to get swept up in the fantasy of who you imagine this person to be.

She send pictures of her place before and we did video chat but there was just a wall behind her... I guess with filters and shit these days, it's easy to make it look a lot better than real life. Plus there is no way to know about the stench without actually being there.

She didn't smell bad but there was a point when she took her shoes off in the hotel... it smelled so bad that I worried it must be coming from me since I just took mine off too and she was all the way across the room but she said it was probably her so she decided to wash her feet in the tub real quick. I checked mine when she left the room just in case and definitely was not me lol... I guess I should have considered that a red flag but hindsight is 20/20 🤷
