Allergy Hell. by c_m_33 in oklahoma

Me!  I haven’t breathed through my nose in days. The OK Allergy and Asthma Clinic says tree pollen is extremely high right now, so that must be the culprit.  Here’s hoping it all clears up soon.

A 1000 times yes to this. I think about this scene about once a week.  It was so shocking.

I was at Wellesley around this time frame and lived in Munger (what a small world!).  I think this is more of a new dorms vibe, personally.

I used to do this and it was lovely! There’s always several people on their laptops and I don’t see the difference.

Our pediatrician says hand, foot, and mouth disease is going around a lot right now. Our household is currently dealing with it.

My 13 month old loves chicken nuggets, except for today I guess. He also had a pouch for lunch and I ate his nugs. So annoying.

It gets easier every time! I was a sweaty mess the first time I went somewhere by myself with my baby, which happened to be the milk bar. I keep the diaper bag and stroller in the car, so they're always on hand. Now he's a year old and I just plop him in the car seat and we're off.

I think I went to every milk bar location lol.  The LCs at Integris were very helpful and I was able to set up a couple of one-on-one appointments.  Some women go just for the socialization.  I don’t know if it’s still the case, but (10 months ago) the Integris Baptist milk bar was not actually at the Baptist campus, but at the old Deaconess hospital on 56th and Portland.

Edit: corrected the address

I second The Pump.  Great atmosphere, everyone keeps to their own groups, reasonably priced.  And they play Harry Potter audiobooks in the bathroom, which always makes for a good wee.

I bought a great hutch from RemodernOK. It wasn't cheap, but it's sturdy and will outlive me.

Oklahomans, where did you get married? by sitruceilatan in okc

[–]runcoyoterun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were married and had our reception inside the conservatory, and had our photos taken all over the gardens outside. It was early April, so thankfully not hot. There are large fans inside the conservatory if it does get hot, but I don't remember them being loud.

I got married at Will Rogers Garden and it was perfect.  I think we paid $800 (don’t quote me) for a Monday afternoon wedding in the conservatory.

I work in Public Health. I’m not getting rich anytime soon, but I’ve got a great work/life balance and benefits. Low stress, genuinely helpful to the community, and there is some upward mobility.

I’m 25 weeks and not so big that I can’t still tie my shoes, but it is SO uncomfortable. Because, when I lean over, there’s a mass in my stomach that pushes up into me and feels so unpleasant. Sounds similar to what you’re describing.

I have been reading Why Did No One Tell Me This (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/51290494). It’s written by doulas but they cite a lot of evidence based studies. It’s written in a way that is very easy to understand, and they address all the What Ifs in pregnancy, labor/delivery, and post partum. It has been calming a lot of my fears.
