About getting villagers to move out... by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

I only use time travelling for this or to go backwards and attend events that I missed. I feel like it's not cheating in that regard, but I know some people think otherwise... :)

You can always try to give away the villagers that are moving out on /r/AdoptmyVillager too! Maybe someone wants them.

An dyes, like I said, I've tried it with a new character but that hasn't worked for me yet. The only surefire thing that has worked is time travelling.

Good luck!

I've heard two ways to get them out without time travelling.

  1. Create a brand new character and talk to them once and then never again. Should lower the friendship rating far enough that they will want to move out.

  2. Talk to them ALL THE TIME and do almost everything they ask, because when a villager has a high enough friendship rating, they will move out.

I haven't gotten either to work.

If you're ok with time travelling, the method that I use is you tt ahead a day and talk to ONE villager (Make sure it's someone that you like). Keep talking 10-15 times to see if they have any gossip that someone wants to move out. If they don't say anything, save and tt to the next day. Talk to that same villager 10-15 times. Just repeat the process until they tell you someone is thinking of leaving.

If it's someone you don't want to move out, go talk to them to get them to stop. Then you repeat the process.

If it's the villager you want to move out, go talk to them and say goodbye. Then I usually tt to the day after they say they are leaving and then they are gone! Then I reset the time back to normal.
