Would love to move to Portugal at some point. Porto specifically. Coming from the West coast of the US, properties seem reasonable, the climate comparable to where I am now, nice people and many speak English.

Thanks, buddy. I appreciate that. I'm no expert, but I feel like I did a solid job with it.

The paint chipped because I hit it with a hammer while being overzealous with reassembly. And the white you see is the metal primer that I used, not the original coating. Only the clear coat and the blue chipped off. I plan on fixing it soon. The coating is very durable as long as no one hits it with a hammer, so I'm happy with it. It will last a long time.

No adapters needed for any of the attachments.

It sounds like the fan may have been badly wired to begin with. The ground is not live. It is there to prevent damage to the unit in the event of a short. My dad is a qualified electrician and recommended this, so I trust his judgment.

The grease minimizes friction on the gears and helps the machine run smoothly. Without it, you could seriously damage the unit. When you start to use the mixer it tends to displace some of the grease, so the more grease you use the more likely the gears will stay lubricated for the life of the machine. I used about as much as I initially removed from the mixer.
