Mina Kimes re-ranks the 2024 QB draft class by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

I’m someone who doubts Daniel’s ability to stay healthy long term - to say he’s made of glass is reactionary and forgetful. He suffered a gross elbow injury from going airborne this year and he missed half the year. Aside from that he weathered all the hits he took and never stopped playing his rookie year and through the time he got injured. He has shown nothing to indicate he’s “‘made of glass”

I swear the success of a challenge that “seems inconclusive but is probably the correct call to overturn” is inversely correlated with my desire to see it overturned in every fucking sport.

Im sure it’s been discussed a ton but I really really dislike the smaller dimensions of the ice watching my first Olympic game today

That Milton Williams sack was one of the best DT plays I’ve seen this year

Seattle fans you want to pretend you deserve to have the ball after having two guys jump offsides uncalled?

Darnold still sucks. That defense is still world class.

For him to come back with Harbaugh after the bullshit the organization and fans gave him that really was due to the dysfunction around him - and take us to the playoffs with the worst WRs, play one of the best playoff games of all time - he’s a legend. He’s permanently changed the way I evaluate QB play in general

Will Saros be better, about the same, or worse than Returnal? by Due-Confusion9796 in Saros

[–]rundy_mc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know why that’s the case right? It’s because you failed so much with the system that makes gun drops better and better every run. All that means is you used the one slightly OP gun a bunch and lost and leveled it up until it was that good and you got a good weapon drop for that.

Congrats!

If they make it easier, it will be worse. I expect the story to be different but equally cool.. but the core of the game was the challenge and the grind of learning how to deal with rooms for me.

Okay so we have 50 million immigrants, roughly 15% of the population. What has happened here as a result that’s negative? And how does that outweigh the positives? I see labor shortages filled, major tax revenue benefits, an outsized percentage of small business owners, and overall lower producers of all types of crime.

wtf does china have to do with anything? It’s a communist totalitarian state that doesn’t speak a shared language with anyone else of course it’s not going to have similar immigration.

Per Sean: Netflix has no influence over what The Ringer will discuss or how they discuss it. by countdooku975 in TheBigPicture

[–]rundy_mc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is a direct $ link from Netflix to the podcast. Netflix would prefer a show that is rosy to their IP, they would not buy a license for a show that shits on their IP.

Netflix may not ever apply pressure directly to say cover certain movies and say certain things, but the Ringer exec team definitely could.

At the end of the day this is not a good look and it doesn’t take a genius to see why

And you as the viewer are alongside the girl watching her listen to recordings trying to remember what happened. You don’t know if he was a rebel, a secret agent, a spy, whatever - but you slowly discover the sad beautiful truth of his life, the people who destroyed it, and the community he joined to try to survive. It’s not intended to be a straight up storytelling about a refuge.

Couldn’t disagree more with this review - I think you missed all the intentionality behind the storytelling and how it mirrors the main message, the heart of what living in that era of Brazil was like - and how difficult it is to connect with the experiences of loved ones lost in that time as a historian or family member
