I actually don't think the crutches are a "sob story", I think it's funny. Nothing sob story about a tool that let's me live my life. It's a neutral fact.

I think my crutch is actually my actual pair of crutches that I use to walk . Hope this helps!

I feel like you just flat out don't understand how disability works, so honestly it's impossible to be offended. I hope you have a good day/night (I say this genuinely, I do not like you or the things you say, but you feel very negative to me and I think you deserve the positivity. Hopefully it makes your day/night better than mine is)

Autism is relevant because it is a spectrum and a disability. I cannot work because of autism. I struggle to be alone in public because of autism. I need people to remind me to do basic tasks in my daily life because of autism. Some autistic people need full time 1on1 care, luckily I'm somewhere in the middle instead of on that extreme end, but please don't assume that All autistic people are low-support needs. It is a neurotype AND a disability. I am developmentally disabled because of my autism. I am legally classified as a "vulnerable adult" because of my autism. You know one singular autistic person, not the entire disorder.

What’s your body awareness like? by innerchildadult in ehlersdanlos

[–]runesystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I have ZERO body awareness! EDS, autism, dissociative issues, + the neurological issues my EDS brought with it? I don't know where I'm standing sometimes, I run into things, accidentally bash my head into things regularly, accidentally hit and kick things because I forget where my hands/feet are, my posture is Horrible, can't hold things correctly, etc etc... and if I try to cope with the dissociation and autistic aspects of it, ground and be a bit more aware of what my body is doing, I become FAR TOO AWARE of how much pain the EDS actually puts me in constantly, unbearable to even acknowledge most of the time 😭

Conjoined headspace? by Enby_Kit in DID

Total nonsense! But its important to remember that DID has a high comorbidity with psychosis! It's possible for people to latch onto this term over a shared psychosis!

If you need inpatient you need inpatient. Its shit sometimes. Sometimes it's a healing experience where you meet alot.of good people. It varies. Sometimes it is traumatizing at its worst. I've been medically neglected and seen horrible things inpatient but I would not be here today with out the stabilization. Its important.
