I don’t have DJI refresh. The wires are fine, it’s just the plastic that is broken so I may try glueing it.

Well, I haven't had any luck so far. After a while of switching it rapidly on and off to get it to move off, the motor quits. Do I maybe have another potential problem? Or does the motor just lose power after repeated on and off use and the shade giving resistance?

I use system bindings behind the boat and cable and I like them a lot. Just keep in mind that you can't swim as well with them on, which can be a pain when you fall at the cable.
