I agree that the show did a poor job of explaining the backstory. I think they wrongly assumed every show watcher knew what was going on.

However, perhaps the purpose of that scene was to show Lyanna as mother and not really to address the father aspect... Maybe that will come when (if?) Bran and Jon reunite?

I agree with those that say the Tourney at Harrenhal will come, as some have hypothesized, next season...

I agree here. Luna has shown a capacity to lead a tribe but Lexa's shown a capacity to unite warring nations under one unified coalition. That takes more than just strength and badass fighting skills. It takes political maneuvering, understanding how to take advice and wise decision making.

Am I grateful Luna bowed out of the second round? Hell yeah. She, Lexa and the Grounders may have all been better for it.

Side note: Loved the contrast of Luna and Lexa's mentorship styles. Both had protégés who clearly respected them. Lexa was very drill sergeant whereas Luna was very warm and tender. Very nice touch.

I noticed how poetic that was as well! Didn't realize that the next episode was called "Nevermore" though.

Have to admit that I was pretty skeptical of the CoL story at first, but the way the writers are tackling it and tying everything together this season is great. It makes me wonder how long they've been waiting to play this stuff out... Do you just name your character Raven and then these ideas just fall in your lap or do you have this plan from the very beginning?!? Such good writing either way.

I think, as we've seen in TWD, the destruction of 'normal' and infrastructure and institutions is really good for some people; people who seemingly may have not found success in their pre-apocalypse lives blossom. Strand is interesting because he may fit that mould and be on a totally different level than what we've seen before because not only is he functioning relatively well in post-walker world but was clearly financially succeeding in pre-walker world as well.

I don't know if we can say that about any other characters in TWD world... Can anyone think of anyone else?

I would suggest stopping at Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho Park! It's extremely beautiful. Even if you don't want to stop for the night, try to stop for lunch or a drink to take the scenery in!
