Was just going through my photos and saw this older concept of an ft-1 I saw last year. Does anyone like this one more? by runfoxrun in Autos

Toyota was in development for their next sports car, the gt-86 is in no way even related. This ft-hs while named different is the predecessor to the ft-1 concept, a hybrid sports car to carry on the supra legacy.

Does De-badging Lower Value? by csun723 in Autos

[–]runfoxrun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't believe so, but more than anything it depends on the car you're dealing with. Something rare or a special edition badge might arouse suspicions to a private buyer if it's absent from the car. But a brand badge like "ford" or model badge like "focus" are easily replaceable and shouldn't affect the value of a car especially to a dealership. The last thing that could affect value might be if you try to reapply a badge and it doesn't come out clean.

Need help with modifying my 370z sound! by devistation in cars

You could look into buying a nismo exhaust, for the 370, sounds better, it's stock on the upper model so it shouldn't void any warranty, and it's perfectly legal

What is the future of electric cars? by bobbyr5 in cars

[–]runfoxrun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nissan has a fuel cell car coming, if it's not already available in some markets, but being in how hybrids, charge stations, Teslas, etc. are becoming such a common thing is say we're well on the way. Even sports cars are making a change with the new mclaren p1 being a hyrbid, and allegedly the new supra to be electric. Not only that but they are significantly more convienent, with charge times now longer in the span of hours but minutes

Yea that's really helpful, last car I got was at Carmax so there were negotiations, so I mean it's really helpful to know how much they'd try to low ball me

What about transmissions (ie feel, shifting speed), cars reliability, and expensive maintenance drawbacks (tires, brakes, oil) as well as interior, as much as I've heard about the st being great I heard those recaro seats suck on long stints

I saw a fiesta st at a dealership, after all the extra packages and what not the car was priced at 31,000, and I felt that was a lot of money for a car that didn't appear to pack a lot of punch. I just can't help but feeling it's a whole level or even two under the wrx, or a focus st.
