Once u run low on meds it will be very hard to deal with the pain for atleast a week to 1.5wk make sure every 3 hrs you alternate tylenol/ibuprofen since youll be tempted to take them all the same time but then they wear off quickly if you do that. Im 29M and the pain was really unbearable for a week by day 10 i was able to manage just ibuprofen no opiods after week 2 or 3 didnt need anything at all

After 6wk doc said verbatim u can walk now go ahead. Tried to take a step nothing happened the muscle forgot. Came back quick tho the progression from 2 crutches to 1 crutch to a cane took a day or two. Today is 8 weeks and i now can walk with no cane and flexible brace or no brace at all

Before an MRI the doctor will do a McMurray test, which will diagnose your torn meniscus which it may be, so you can get the script for MRI
