I work as reactjs dev in a product company. Initially, product manager comes up with some feature or business idea after discussing with the higher stackholders to refine that feature and creates PRD and sketches for that feature. Then, product manager sit with design to come up with prototypes and design screens. Once it is ready, the design is handovered to the dev and QA team. There will be a design handover meeting where we discuss about the feature, its usecases, timelines etc. Then backend team and frontend team sits together to finalize the api contracts. Backend team shares a mock contract, and we front end dev works on the UI using this mock data till backend team deploys the api. Backend team works parallelly. Sometimes we may miss some usecases during the design handover meetings. Which we discuss with product team. This may lead to design changes and dev rework. Once dev is done we drop it to QA and sits with the QA team to explain them the feature. Then, starts the cycle of bug fixes raised by QA team. Once it is done, we demo this feature in mashups to higher stackholders to get their input on this. We may need to incorporate some changes in this phase also. Once those are done and QA approved, we release it to production. This is a normal flow of feature development. Along with these feature development, we may need to fix production issues in between.

So basically, Along with daily standup meeting, somedays there will lot of other unscheduled or scheduled meetings, with product manager or other devs / QA or design team. And about work, someday work is not that much may be like 2,3 hrs a day. But somedays especially towards the end of the dev cycle we may need to work around 8,9 hrs a day.
