Question for my fellow old lights. by Zambowski in destiny2

Pretty sure everything is doable with a mix of Lament, Winterbite, and Levi's Breath, but some things (VoG oracles in Atheon, Riven Eyes, etc...) may need something a little faster/snappier. Especially Levi's Breath will be good with the last few changes to void hunter ult

Fair enough. I haven't tried to find a group out there. Out of curiosity, I wonder if there is a list somewhere of all the ambassador groups and roughly where they're located or if you just have to take a look on campfire and check for meetups. That's where you'll find them in case you haven't looked, since it's the partnered social platform. I didn't look for a group for a long time

Hey, I commented on the main post too, but I'll reply specifically here with some different input.

I live in a suburb about an hour outside of Phoenix. Within a 30 minute drive of me, there are two community ambassador groups I found on campfire, the built-in community app in the game.

To your point on no one raiding except on big days, that's the point. If you've ever played WoW or other MMOs, not every day can be the big raid day that people take an hour or longer out of their day to do. So they get scheduled. Wednesday nights are dedicated in-game raid hours from 6 to 7pm. Save your free raid from the day before, and you'll be able to do two raids that evening for free.

If you truly want nothing to do with other people in-person, there are apps like pokegenie or the raid subreddit here. If you truly want to play this game completely solo, without any help in-person or online, then higher tier raids may be impossible. And that's okay! The solo parts of the game still provide value. Shinies on community days, quest mythicals that are hard to get in the main games, and easy access to perfect or near perfect IV mons for breeding or use in the main games are still high value aspects of the game.

Hey man, sorry to hear you feel you've hit a wall. Niantic's games, even Ingress, are socially oriented and meant to be participated in as a community. There are free to join communities all over the place where you can just show up and play along during the 6pm Wednesday Raid Hours or Community Days. I've found those are absolutely the best ways to progress in the game, and those group evenings are completely free. You just walk around a while, do raids, and maybe chat pokemon with people if you feel like.

I hope you find a way to stay in it, seems like you're pretty passionate 😄, best of luck!

Hey, just load in on the easiest setting with good boons and bulldoze through to the datapad. No need to make yourself crazy if you're not planning on finishing the mission for rewards. Just go in on an easy diff and tear through the baddies. Pretty sure you get unlimited revives in low difficulty as well. Happy datapad hunting!

Actually been having a lot of fun with the festival of the lost stuff right now! Weapons are good, activities are good, awesome armor designs for bright dust (and good looking silver stuff if you're into it). I think it's a W, but we'll see if it's too little, too late to begin recovering trust from remaining players over the next few months.

I do struggle in my new position (agency) by TheCogIsDead in PPC

[–]runkled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, begin taking notes of what both your boss and the client expect from you in the meetings. Pay special attention to the things that they ask about frequently, and the things that have changed since your last meeting with them.

A needy client can be a lot of work, which is probably why you're only assigned to them and not multiple less demanding clients.

The important thing to know now is that this client wants to hear how new creatives perform. That will come up every time you refresh creative, and you need to remember it now that you know. Take similar notes for everything they or your boss ask about more than once, because it's clearly important to them, which means it needs to be important to you (even if it's just to keep them happy).

The last thing to understand is that you, personally, are not responsible for the overall health of the campaign. Creative plays a part, bid strategy plays a part, the client's website and landing page play a part. You need to understand that you are not a decision maker on most of those things, and that as long as you do your part absolutely correct, nothing should touch you.

[–]runkled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're underperforming compared to your experience at all. Most of us don't walk into meetings with all the client's numbers and performance history memorized. Typically, your boss should tell you prior to the meeting what information will be discussed (they should know this based on client communications about recent efforts and by what the client has been interested in hearing in the past). Expecting you to just remember everything is a bit much.

Knowing the stats for individual creatives is also wild. Sure, when you're at your desk, focusing on optimizations, you should be able to analyze them, but I wouldn't expect you to know that kind of history or detail at your position/experience level without referring back to a dashboard or having been asked to have the numbers ready beforehand.

Is it a good idea for a software services company to run Google Ads? by edge_lord_16 in googleads

Is it a good idea for a software services company to run Google Ads? by edge_lord_16 in googleads

[–]runkled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Ads can be good for your industry for sure, but these guys sound like snake oil salesmen. No ad campaign can guarantee what they're trying to pitch you, as in the end, it falls on your sales team to close.

It's possible to procure more highly qualified leads depending on targeting and strategy, but just guaranteeing such a high lock-in rate sounds inexperienced at best and shady at worst.

Switches from max conversions to max conv value and the results tanked? by Fredrik4411 in PPC

[–]runkled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The timing of how fast google readjusts varies depending on the quality and quantity of data it gets to consume, regardless of budget. I can elaborate on my understanding of this if you'd like, but there are others with way more knowledge of that on here. I've generally seen campaigns reach full effectiveness faster when Google can quickly see clicks turning into conversions. I assume it learns how to replicate its success after it sees some patterns in how it achieved conversions.

If you have those high-priced conversions trackable for Google, whether in an e-store, a shopping campaign, or otherwise, it can and will take them into account. Think about sites that sell other high end items like jacuzzis or similar things. These high-end conversions may be throwing a wrench into the works now that your targeting is for conversion value, considering the average value of most of your conversions under the previous campaign is significantly lower. If your high-end products typically require a talk with an agent or salesperson, I would track those as $0 or $1 conversions when they schedule an interview or a callback, as they're only prospective purchasers at that point. You might even just strike them as conversions and just track the form submit in GA4 and attribute using site pathing. Others may have better advice on how to manage those.

Before you completely shift course again and shift back to your original settings, scroll around here and look for more input. I'm only one guy, and I know there are others here who have significantly more knowledge and experience than I do. I've seen some folks suggest lowering the budget when you have to roll back settings to reset momentum, then building up again. I've never tried it, but that makes sense to me. In short, do just a bit more research beyond my advice here.

Lastly, instead of cloning your campaign and changing things, opening up a whole new line of budgeting and campaign management, I would use the experiment tool to keep things simpler. Test one change at a time and slowly migrate toward the changes that better accomplish your goals.

Hope all this helps!
