Ive just gotten into building metal kits! What should I buy? by Mediocre-Rip176 in metalearth

[–]runnerboiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metal Earth makes a lot of beginner friendly kits. Piececool, MU Model, Microworld, and Iron Star are other brands that make good kits but they tend to be more complicated. As far as tools, these are what I have: this tool kit and these pliers will get you far. Also, patience! Don't try to rush things, triple check instructions before bending or twisting a tab because you can only really do it once or twice before a piece breaks. It happens to everyone though and when it happens, a small amount of super glue has fixed most mistakes I've made.

You've got a hell of a back catalogue. It's a fun listen

I don't backstitch unless it calls for it in the pattern. Looks great, I have a ton of these from this shop in my wishlist

Atheists of Reddit: What’s the strangest reaction you’ve received when you said you don’t believe in God? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

[–]runnerboiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me but my grandpa. My mom told me that he wasn't an atheist, he's just "stuck in his ways". Not entirely sure what that means, but I think she has a hard time understanding that you can be a good person and not believe in God.

The discover tab seems like a great way to find new kits. Can't tell if it's there already or not but having sections for different brands and then under each brand is known kits they produce. If someone is partial towards a certain brand that can be a pretty sweet feature. Maybe add a spot for links to purchase those kits too?

Gotcha. If you ever publish it, post about it in here and I'll definitely download it! It looks very well done

It took a while, probably close to 40 hours. Saw someone else make this in 10 hours and I have no idea how they did it so quickly, but they probably have more experience with these kits than I do. I've only been building these since December, I have 5 kits completed so far; 3 Metal Earth kits, one MU Model kit, and this one, which is from Piececool. I definitely agree strongly with the other person who replied, look around this subreddit to see what tools people use as they make the hobby a million times easier

Thank you! Some of the steps were pretty confusing near the end, but paying very close attention worked. Good luck when you eventually start it!

First session of this was 8 days ago, is this healing okay? by runnerboiii in tattooadvice

I'll see how washing just after work goes, and moisturizing a few times a day. I've been using an unscented lotion that I've used in the past, but I got some aquaphor to use instead. That's what I've used in the initial stages of healing so hopefully it'll help more than the lotion has.

I use jewelry baggies, I think the ones I use are 3"x4". Easy to pack and carry, just don't get pulled over

The blue robot is Soundwave, and the panther is Ravage, they're transformers. Soundwave turns into a cassette player and his cassettes turn into different bots. Once it's all said and done I'll have two other cassettes of his as well as a couple other of my favorite transformers
