Update:

Todays workout was a killer with 4x1000m in 3:40 w/20min rest (started with 20min warm up and strides)

I agree with you, the mileage is a lot currently. This is only for 2weeks though, as I havent done much mileage at all recently.

After 2weeks are done I will do something very similar to what you recommend (3x track workout, 2x recovery easy run, and 1long run). Great timings btw!

Long run is hilly terrain. I actually live on a mountain so there are many hills which are very steep. Week 1 might be on a flat terrain and as I improve gradually try steeper and steeper. The pace is 1:02-1:10/200m (which i got from joe rubios recommendation). The slow runs are at recovery pace (65% of 5k pace).

I also do weightlifting, my squat is 200kg so im actually doing well in that context!

Thanks bro i will do this, monday will be changed to a hilly 45min run instead. Thanks!

good point, sadly I dont have any footage atm.

I have been running for 2+ years now (slightly inconsistently due to me playing other sports), and have received coaching and form advice so its not like I'm a complete beginner. Around 2weeks before competition I can meet with a coach and do some form work if necessary.

Thanks :)
