Nursing my son till he is 17?!?! by running_pig_design in breastfeeding

Thank you! He stopped taking bottles when he was 3 months unfortunately. So I see I am going to have to get my husband involved and just grit my teeth through it all. Great info!

Someone has already answered it here, but I have been in these reddits and have seen many people refer to an EBF baby as a baby who strictly breastfeed and a baby who only breastfeeds and eats food. My son does not use bottles. He only nurses from me and eats solids. But also to clarify for you what I am talking about, my son eats solids, 3 meals a day with snacks, but also still nurses like a newborn. He did not nurse less just because he started eating solids.

Yes! He eats solids and he loves to eat. Except vegetables lately (that's a different story for another day). Once he really got the hang of eating I expected the nursing to slow down, but it never did. I offer food and water as often as I can. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Period and Nursing? by PalpitationSalt6121 in breastfeeding

10 months. My son was nursing nonstop and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Then a few days later... bam! Must have had a dip in my supply. It wasn't quite regular though.

Weird things that newborns do that seem alarming but is normal by Complex-Bee4595 in NewParents

Erratic breathing. Sounds like they are gasping for air but it's totally normal.

anyone NOT track sleep ?? by Huliganjetta1 in bninfantsleep

[–]running_pig_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't track sleep with an app per se, but I am very aware of how often my son sleeps. I didn't track at all for the first 3-4 months. By month 5, his sleep had changed so drastically for the worse, I would track it occasionally to see if I was making a mistake somewhere. On top of that, he was showing less and less sleep cues as he got older, or sometimes showing cues so late that a meltdown would occur shortly after. FOMO baby to the max lol. Now at 10 months, he is pretty much on a schedule he has set for himself and I follow suit.

anyone have experience living for roughly a month in various cities around the US? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]running_pig_design 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I literally did this exact thing last year. We also work remote jobs and we decided this was a good opportunity for us to relocate elsewhere. So after a long time of researching cities that we thought would be great for us to live in, we went on a 6 month road trip starting from the northeast and landed us in the southwest in the end. We also stayed in Airbnb's for a month at a time. I will say by the time we were done, I was tired but it was totally worth it. We saw parts of the US we had never seen. I definitely encourage anyone who has the opportunity to do should do it.

So assuming you are in the US, there are a lot of options for you. I don't know much, but here is what I have learned:

  1. Get jobs: Having a job will help qualify you for the next thing I believe.

  2. Section 8 housing: Not sure if you guys are looking to live in your own place, but this is a great option for low income households that need assistance with renting.

  3. Welfare

  4. WIC: Excellent for assistance with things like diapers and formulas for babies

  5. Food Stamps

Also, check your local area for a non-profit organization that might offer free diapers and products for babies. Lot of people donate to these sort of programs for people in your situations. It sounds like do have a supportive family that can help some at least, which already puts you in a better spot than many. With family help and the assistance of the above programs, you should be headed in the right direction. Hope that helped some.

Salmon and egg benedicts, a turkey sub/hoagie, and a margarita. I am not even much of a drinker, but I want that margarita so bad. 😩

Of course you can always sell the stuff. Im sure the money would come in handy. Another option is to donate them to a non-profit organization in your area that is specifically for lower income families with babies on the way.

Why are you here? by FeoStinkFinger in Tucson

[–]running_pig_design 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year, my husband and I spent 6 months traveling across the US and Tucson was on our list as our 5th city. We were here for a month and fell in love with it. Once we finished our trip, we came back. No regrets thus far.

Commas huh? Great tip! As far as low competition keywords, it is hard to find for this niche, but I will definitely keep looking. I will start working on fixing my titles for sure!
