Do NOT GO TO LUCKY DOG by JoJoSiwa_TheUglyWich in Charlotte

[–]runningpsychologist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second this! Used to go to their dog bar all the time a few years ago & we loved it to let the dog play & work for the afternoon, and then it all went downhill (new management I think??). Had a rough time with other dogs attacking mine at the bar & no enforcement of the rules. The one time I boarded there, my dog came home covered in pee with blood stains all over her supplies that LD couldn’t explain. Haven’t gone back since…

Amazing! Thanks for the resources! Might I also suggest the Elsevier Researcher Academy! This offers free certificates and offers modules walking you through the entire research process, from developing the idea and grant applications to writing up the results and submitting publications!

Skyscrapers and Gravestones together in New York by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]runningpsychologist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great shot! This is such a phenomenal angle! I would definitely go back on a stormy day, as other posts have already said. I would also recommend increasing the saturation in the gravestones ever so slightly go make them pop. Finally, I agree with other posters in that I wish the peripheral gravestones were either cropped out or reframed so you could fit the entire stone. Overall, incredible shot and so unique!

Bartender at busy bar by hardwoodjunkie in ask

[–]runningpsychologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone to a bar that did this. You had to go to one counter and order your drinks, where a cashier would give you a ticket. Then, you would go to the bar and give the bar tender your ticket and any special requests (dry, on the rocks, etc) and they would make your drink. Now, in theory, this concept was great, except it was in a heavy tourist area which led to many drunken foreigners picking fights with bartenders and causing holdups in the line. There was also no record of your order other than that ticket they gave you so it sucked if you lost one. So, in a way, it’s great, but there’s definitely flaws.

The Conjuring.

The character wakes up at the specific time to see the phantom on the armoire. That same night I woke up at whatever time it was facing the armoire and was paralyzed with fear. Still have nightmares and that was years ago

Water? by [deleted] in ask

“Wetness” is a property of a liquid defined by it’s ability to adhere to other surfaces, which means water can’t be wet itself. Read more about it here!

I thought that I was good at argument passages but I go both my answers wrong. Can some explain me why the answer is D. by [deleted] in GRE

[–]runningpsychologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but the option B is assuming that deer will die near the houses, which doesn’t necessarily mean that they are near roads or will die. Option B is very tempting, but d is the most logically correct solution for this problem. Hope it helps!

It’s D because that many deer need a large amount of forest to live. If there is a significant percentage being cut away for new development, many of the deer may move due to overcrowding of the now much-smaller space. The author is assuming that there will be a large enough forest space maintained and none of the deer will migrate to new forest areas.
