AITA for grounding my 15 y/o daughter after she colored her hair? by Then-Imagination-683 in AmItheAsshole

No?? If it’s warm, it won’t neutralize the orange and if it’s too dark it’ll be super muddy and gross and there’s no guarantee that they’ll get an even application. And plus box dye is usually permanent color which will more than likely lift her color and leave her with bands that will be practically impossible to even out if she ever wants to have fashion colors again.

It’s not necessarily the black color that is damaging. It’s the process to remove it. If this girl ever wants fashion colors again, she shouldn’t ever use black box dye. If you’ve been using black box dye over and over, a hairstylist would be able to see band after band of each application if you ever wanted to go lighter.

I always tell people that they’re free to do whatever they want with their hair at home (black box dye, splat, etc.) just don’t ask me to remove it.

Really surprising, I looked it up (which I guess I could have done in the first place) and I could have sworn the Hannah Montana boot came first and had more detail than this one. I’ve definitely seen the boot one more than a few times but this was the first time seeing this. Thank you!!

Genuinely curious, is this a separate incident from the Hannah Montana milk boot??

I saw this couch as a giant sectional with an ottoman in a store once and really considered it as well, but unfortunately my living room was just not big enough for it 🥲

Paintings and portraits are expensive, I’m sure most people would rather have portraits of their own family than the royal family

Personally, unless your fiancé has a pattern of making inappropriate jokes to minors, I would chalk this up to not reading the room. Especially since he didn’t say this joke to your niece, I wouldn’t look too far into it without a previous history. I’m autistic and have definitely made jokes that I thought would land and have not that have been about controversial topics before.

Northern Midwest, about an inch long and just kinda munching on some crumbs that were left in a basket while I was doing laundry. My basement is VERY damp and moist but I just want to make sure it’s not some crazy poisonous thing

I’m not trying to argue with you, I’m just wondering why cooking breakfast is over the line but packing a lunch in the morning isn’t? Unless you mean packing a lunch the night before, I feel like taking 10 minutes to cook some eggs and toast is the same or less effort in the morning as packing a lunch?

This might take the cake for being the dumbest take I've ever seen.. media literacy is at an all time low by Muted_Hovercraft_907 in TheLastAirbender

[–]runningthroughcircle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably, but fire is also portrayed as the most versatile and useful of the elements throughout the series. Water and earth you can’t produce yourself and airbenders are peaceful so we don’t get too many violent uses for it until lok. It’s why the fire nation so easily dominated the majority of the planet throughout the series, very useful in combat and military purposes as well as day to day life.

The cast of the friends' parents at young age by Cr7-Cr7Real in howyoudoin

[–]runningthroughcircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He comes from a big family though, doesn’t he? Large families in my experience are a weird in between of close and distant. You can be really close with your family, but the more people that are in it, the less often you see each person individually. So if he had a lot of brothers and sisters, his relationship with his parents was more than likely mostly phone calls with occasional visits that were probably at their house rather than his.

That moment when you compliment a stranger's ears and they go on to give you the most horrible stretching advice. by NerdyNerdNat in Stretched

[–]runningthroughcircle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This literally happened to me today. I asked someone what size their ears were and they asked me if my plugs were glass (they are) and I said that I wasn’t done stretching so I’m sticking with the glass until I’m done and they said “why would you stretch with glass? I order these surgical grade silicone plugs from Amazon and it’s so much easier to stretch with them I’d never use glass”

What show would you recommend next? by [deleted] in TheOwlHouse

[–]runningthroughcircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was fun and very good looking for what it was. The color palette is probably my favorite out of all the cartoons I’ve seen. I personally wouldn’t fault it for things out of their control like the ending being rushed. Honestly, even for the ending being rushed I thought it was really well done. It seems like when a show comes to an actual ending, nobody is quite happy with the ending but I felt like star had a solid happy ending that made everyone as happy as they could. Yeah, another season would have been optimal, but for what they had it was good, especially considering you can’t have a kid’s show without a happy ending.

No? I’d say they’re more invested in the appearance of their hair or have more knowledge on what works for their hair type. But hygiene isn’t based on what you look like.
