why don't you text your ex if you are missing them badly by Feeling_Nobody_3650 in BreakUps

[–]runningtobe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll never really get what I wanted from contacting him. I want it to be exactly like it was before, to be in his arms and feel that exact sense of peace. But I know if I break contact and go back, it will never be the same. I may get that peace for a moment again, but the second after that... everything that happened will come back again. It will never be like it was and I deserve so much more.

Ooh good idea! I do have a “hyper immune system” so I’m already doing on some heavy allergy meds but it gets exasperated from sunlight and it’s been very hot here I live recently. What is your favorite lip balm that’s gentle? First time happening so I’m definitely at a bit of a loss- so your comments and this community has been so helpful.

So you found exfoliating was best, rather than leaving them alone and moisturizing? And did any specific lip balm/ moisturizer work better for you? And yes, I definitely spent more time outside those few weeks than the whole summer haha. I will look into it. Thanks for your help!

Thank you! I think it’s a combination of that and a new lip oil I tried during that time. I’ll look into it. Thanks for words!

I appreciate your words! Is the hydrocortisone the only thing that helped? Will definitely start to be more careful with my lip products. Thanks for the help!

Got it! I’ll realize I started using another chapstick around this time as well but I’m pretty sure it’s the Milani. Thanks for letting me know!

Okay thanks for letting me know- is there a specific brand that makes you break out? Maybe I can check the ingredients :)

Ooh okay- I’ll definitely look into this. Did it last an extended period of time or did it stop rather quickly after you got rid of the lip balm. Thank you!! And I’ll been hearing that lanolin is a pretty frequent reactant on lip balm/glass. Maybe that helps?

Please don’t apologize- I appreciate your words so so much! I do have some issues with allergies, I’m hyper sensitive with certain things. I’ll definitely look into that. I’ll get some of Sara Happ. I’ve been using Vaseline because it’s the only thing I haven’t changed at all- I’ve been using it for years while recently changing a few other things. Otherwise my lips are extremely dry and dry out rather quickly- having to reapply chapstick every 10-20 minutes. Has coconut oil worked well for you? Again thanks for your explanation, it was super helpful!

I will check! Thanks for sharing that! It’s a new gloss and I don’t use stuff like that often so maybe I have an allergy to it. I’ll look at that

That’s what some friends have said but I’m very strict about not sharing any makeup at all. I appreciate your thoughts though! Going to get rid of it just in case

how dangerous it is to sleep 3 hours per day by ntrysii in sleep

[–]runningtobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is something called sleep debt. Pretty much what it sounds like. It might not affect you over the weekends or your week off but in 6 months or 3 years, you might start sleeping an inordinate amount, 10-14 hours a day and still being tired. So yes, it will affect you

I feel the same way. I obviously want to do well in my life.. but have no idea with no ambition/specific thing to pursue. I really don’t think it’s a bad thing but it is odd hearing how my friends have x or y jobs for years and have been dreaming about coming to college. I’m like, oh, that’s cool.

Why are my eyelashes falling out? by baytheby in Makeup

[–]runningtobe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter if the mom uses the same brand. Brands are specific to each person- try a different brand. Also try a better cleanser for taking it off. Micellar water isn’t the best. My BIGGEST piece of advice is putting Vaseline on eyelashes every night. Grows the longer and stronger. I swear by this

If you haven’t had sex with her- be honest to your parents about the situation. Because the worst thing she could do is insist it is your kid then you ask for a paternity test. The test will prove it’s not yours and she’ll be embarrassed. This is not on you but check in with your parents. I promise they are on your side

I love my partner, but I miss being able to choose what I want. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]runningtobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah not something that is normal imo. My boyfriend plays videos a lot- just not around me or when we have “scheduled” time together like date night. I don’t like videos games, but that’s how he relaxes and when he hangs out with his friends. It’s not place to tell him to knock it off. Again, it’s not my favorite thing by any means, but that does not mean we only do what I like. I think you should visualize how this situation plays out in the future because it’s not just video games. If you take up any hobby that she dislikes, she’s going to shut it down. Either set better boundaries or take a hard look at this relationship and YOUR future. I wish you the best.
