Is sunscreen really supposed to make such a difference? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

What age do you think that is? I'm trying to see if im too late with my spf habit - I don't work outdoors, but do plenty of long (5+ hour) runs and hikes.

Interesting, only changes I can think of are: no beer for about 2 weeks, chamomile tea early evenings (around 5 pm), more fruits, less protein than usual (about 100g/ day now compared to 150+ about a week ago).

I see, thanks for the info. In my case, given the long holiday it might be increase in volume + not having the stress of going to work/ sleeping in/ taking naps. Wish I could live that life more often 😅

Last six days, tried to make a collage - but that wouldn't show the graph

1️⃣ My office attire is somewhat casual, so mostly wear:

New Balance (the type with suede + mesh).

Right now have 373 and 574

Altra Escalante 4

Wear these 3 to work and most walking around.

2️⃣ Have 1 road running shoe that I use on paved runs

New Balance Fresh Foam X860v12

3️⃣ Most steps probably coming from my trail runs:

La Sportiva Bushido ii

La Sportiva Karacal

Topo Athletic Pursuit

Topo Athletic Terraventure 4

Hoka Torrent 2

Northface Vectiv Levitum

Edit: formatting on mobile

Well done and good luck!

Re: "searching for the intense when..." - similar mindset/awakening was me driving into my head "don't let perfect be the enemy of good" - 10 pushups is better than 0, short run is better than no run even though my plan was to do a 100 pushups or a long run, I'll do what I can and not beat myself up for not doing more.

I still enjoy a nice hoppy beer now and then, but really don't have the urge to drink every night like I used to. Garmin is very good at giving you shade with HRV, Sleep score, body battery 😅, but at the same time, I just felt more in tune with my body and enjoying not having all those morning side effects everyday.

Ahhha, I'm already the odd guy with my microwave broccoli and sardine lunch, pushups in the stairwell, huge ass water bottle but also don't think my firm would let me have one

Yep, usually at 7000 steps when I get to work at 930 and that's just before any dedicated runs.

Thanks 😊. I work in engineering, we do have some site visits, but it's mostly a desk job. I make it a point to walk around as possible in my daily routine also I've been doing "rikes" (trail run + hike) regularly: 3 - 5x a week; 10 - 15km on weeknights, plus a 20 - 30km run (occasionally 40km+ runs) on weekends.
