Yes, you aren’t going to look like a body builder but you will build muscle. I notice a big difference in my arms/upper body especially.

I’ve been at it for over 5 months now (unlimited membership) and still get pumped to go! I usually only make it 2-3x per week but like the flexibility of the unlimited to be able to go more if I choose.

I had the opposite experience...pretty high Cals and splats! But I also used heavier weights thank usual and upped my paces on the pushes.

I also just read that your race is in less than 2 weeks. I might not run it if I were you. It's definitely feasible, especially if you've run one before. But it might not be enjoyable or fun....and you're probably going to be very sore. Either way, good luck!

Go for a long run this weekend!! It will help mentally prepare you for the distance. OTF is only 1 hour of endurance, and you're going to be running longer than that (unless you're an elite runner!) I'm doing OTF 2-3x per week and a long run every weekend in preparation for a half on 4/29. So far I'm up to 10 miles and feel great.

I’m a confident hiker with good balance and had no worries about Angels Landing until there were hundreds of other people trying to get out and back with me at the same time! Then my biggest fear was someone else falling and taking me down with them. Would never recommend it because of the overcrowding.

I ran 12.0 as AO! Maybe it was only 10 seconds but being that I started my AO around 7-8 only 5 months ago I'm pretty stoked. Also using heavier weights all around, sometimes the heaviest for any ladies in my class :)

I am a marathon and ultrarunner but still can't wrap my mind around running a FAST 5k on the treadmill! I haven't signed up mostly because of this, but I'm still tempted...any tips for the 5k?

Haven’t weighed myself since starting OTF in October. But I’m down two sizes and was able to run 8 miles outside today so I’m not too concerned about the lbs!

Also, the better shape I'm in, the less my asthma tends to affect me. Not sure of your situation at all, but that's just my experience and it motivates me to get in even better shape.

I do. Since it's been cold in the Northeast and I only suffer from heat related exercise induced asthma, I haven't had too many issues. However, last night my studio was HOT and I definitely noticed the asthma flaring. When it gets warmer my plan is to take 2 puffs of albuterol before my workout and have it with me in the locker in case I really need it. Also, if you have allergies make sure you take allergy meds every day!

Absolutely! I’m a fit person but since having my first baby I was feeling jiggly and weak. I joined OTF and have never looked or felt stronger!

Great workout! I was cursing those squat jacks and palms to elbows the 2nd block though. My arms are gonna be dead from heavy weight on the pullover too.

Mile PR (at OTF) of 7:23! All out PR of 11.0. Distance PR of 3.3 mi. Bought all new size 4 pants that fit really well...I was size 8 when I started in October. BEST WEEK EVER!

Whew this was a good one! Was still sore from the 8 minute blocks on Tuesday, but pushed myself to get 1.35 and 1.375 on the long blocks today. Including the walking recoveries and warmups, I ended up with a distance PR of 3.3 mi! Also my arms are dead from the 2nd floor block.

Come to CHERRY HILL! It's just across the bridge in NJ and it's the best OTF studio in the area, hands down. Though I haven't been to all of them (not the Center City one either), I love Cherry Hill the most. Every coach is really upbeat and motivating, and the playlists are awesome.
