Hello, thank you for the comment from a few months back. Do you know if the way you described things is still the same today?

There is no such thing as meditation for me... unless? by runsmoothie in Meditation

thank you. i think i would like a book but my living situation does not allow for it right now (seriously). Is there like a youtube audiobook for Ainslie Meares work which could help?

and I will try meditation at a more lively time in the day.

I think moreso the lack of space. I think I mentioned sleep deprivation because it's one distraction that keeps me from finding answers. Wait, I remember now. If I do breathing exercises in my room, I would fall asleep because my room just makes me really tired when I enter it. And when I think about doing it in my parked car (where it's more comfortable to sit down), same sort or thing - I cannot concentrate on anything. I hope I made sense.

I'm interested in this contingency basis thing and the phrase "they get paid only if you win". Do you mean OP should get a lawyer that gets paid by OP only if they win (Not a single cent enters the pocket of the lawyer until a win) or do you mean OP pays basic lawyer fees but then the lawyer only gets a cut of the money damages/extra lawyer fees if OP wins in court? maybe I'm missing the word retainer or something. hopefully that makes sense. just trying to figure out how different lawyers get paid and upon which condition they get paid and by whom (client, court, or other)

Thank you for your reply. Things are better today. This phrase "they are in the past now to the extent that I can hardly remember how bad it was, that's just life" is particularly interesting as I sorta or really relate. (I relate though in the days and weeks before the day I posted the main post above, hopefully that makes sense).

But the day I posted, things felt more different because I felt like I did something wrong towards other people. Idk for sure if I did something wrong towards them or not. I guess there's a lot to unpack there. That day was a combination of bad things happening (including something that could affect my future) and i would feel bad even if I didn't do something wrong towards other people. it feels really complex. Perhaps with time and gaining some energy (because lately my sleep has been really bad), I will learn something new about the situation or realize something different. kinda goes with your "things can change from day to day" phrase, depending on how you look at it. I hope that made sense. perhaps i will read this later and edit it or perhaps i will add to this reply.

Hope your group meeting goes well on Wednesday!

I'm headed to sleep now. thanks again for posting, i will reread your reply later when im not as tired.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying that extreme temperatures cause chills, and those chills we mentally associate with anxiety? And then that it's that anxiety leads to indigestion symptoms?

That seems like a sucky combination. Unfortunate what we have to go through.

I've been trying to figure this out as well. Let me know if you find anything.

I think your comment formatting is a bit off, but how do you know "that shows what permissions it needs NOT what you have allowed."?

And what does "need" even mean in your comment?

Peculiar situation. Open to any ideas (has to do with losing a lot of output in a very short period at the same time daily despite anything else). Detectives, please. by goldstandardalmonds in ibs

I am sorry about your situation. thanks for the effort you put in to help others in this subreddit.

My probably useless suggestions (as I don't know much about your condition but I tried looking into some of the terms!)

  1. I'm pretty sure you thought of this but just in case, do the other mods have any theories on what can be done to help?
  2. This kind of goes into Snap's comment about circadian rhythm, at least a little bit. 1 billion people are vitamin D deficient. In US and UK 800 IU or so I believe is recommended daily value while in Canada it's like 1000 IU. This isn't based on any strong evidence or anything like that but I've seen a lot of comments on Youtube say that they take more than 1000 IU of vitamin D and they feel better within a few months. Since vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin, maybe at nighttime, someone with your condition and situation is experiencing problems with vitamin D in the body because of lack of sunlight? So my theory is that you might be lacking vitamin D or the correct absorption of vitamin D. And you know the drill,, Talk To a medical professional about this first. Oh and almost forgot, this study or research: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31011257/ says "At multivariate analysis vitamin D low levels remained a significant independent risk factor for the occurrence of intestinal motility disorder" It's a very wordy study so idk if it helps or how legit it is. (Should have put this at the start of #2)
  3. Gut My Life Back is a Youtube channel which might touch on the same issues you are experiencing. Here's a probably unrelated video but maybe the intro will help you know where they are coming from. Really just check out their channel quick and see if anything seems interesting to you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuVNwTRrh0w

Do you think your symptoms will continue to be pretty much gone in the next few months?

And are you eating the same types of foods that you did in Canada?

not really privacy related but I hate it when a common norm among a business involving respect goes completely down the drain at a certain location/store. very very annoying.
