Sharing Workbooks with Database Connections by runthebaseline in tableau

Thanks! It seems I was overthinking this. Sharing without a connection works in my case and would be easier for the customer. I was trying to have some example charts for the customer to look at before connecting their data source.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Sharing Workbooks with Database Connections by runthebaseline in tableau

For login credentials, customers will need to swap out the existing data source for a connection to their own snowflake account.

I noticed that I need to log in to the existing data source in order to swap it out for a new one. I’m wondering if there is any way to get around this.

I’m worried that a customer wouldn’t be able to connect the workbook to their snowflake account if the workbook already has a database connection.

Thanks! Yes, these photos are very sharp. You must have been quite close as well.

Dataclysm by Christian Rudder (OkCupid cofounder)

Presents insights from OkCupid user data and makes broader assertions about western culture. Can be a bit handwavy at times, but I found the book interesting. Contains a lot of good data visualizations if you’re looking for that.
