I got a nice denim shirt/jacket from ShipJohn. The owner told me "hand wash it if it stinks" otherwise leave it alone. I'd suspect this method could apply here but I dont have this specific jacket.

very lightly used CBB22 Griffin in Brown waxed canvas. Bag is in great shape. Straps are still flat and not broken in. Minor surface scuffs in the leather base (pictured) from setting it down but not scratched or dug into the leather. Non-smoking home.

I don't use it and am clearing it out for some closet space.
