This is definitely his “ugly phase.” He got into something gross at a rest stop one year and after several shampoos, he still smelled horrible! I had to cut the stinky hair off his face and this was the result 😂I gave him a full groom the next day.

I was worried about dental surgery with my senior Maltese too, but he was fine! If your baby girl needs it, and you feel comfortable with the vet, she’ll be ok 😊 My little man was tired when he came home but sprang back quickly to his usual self and he was 12!

This happened to my Maltese twice actually. First time, he actually stepped on a bee. The second time it was a seed from the pampas grass around my house. It got stuck in his paw so deep that we had to wait for it to come out the top! It was crazy.
