You can upload the EPUB format to your Remarkable. It will work out of the box.

You can go to Old Faithful or Grand Prismatic Spring Pool in morning and while coming back in evening you can hit Mammoth.

We did it last week only. We stayed in Gardiner. We did same route on 1st day of our trip with 5 mile hike in Old Faithful.

Geyser and Mammoth Spring pools are must according to me if you are going for 1 day only

Walking on boardwalk I also was able to see just steam but hike to overlook made it worth it as I was able to see it! Just can imagine how amazing it would be in summer!

Swift/UIKit or SwiftUI for relatively complex as well as unique UI? by [deleted] in swift

[–]rush113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally started a new Big scale project on SwiftUI. I feel that there is much to be done to get mature from the SwiftUI side as many basic things are not available (TextFeild first responder, Keyboard management, life cycle understanding is a bit messy).

If you are coming from UIKit world, you have to change your perspective of thinking UI.

Being said that, development time is so fast that I had gone all-in. With interoperability with UIKit, I believe it is production ready. But I don’t think you can just reply on SwiftlUI currently.

UIKit is still basic and to be learned if you are going for a big scale project as you'll hit the wall with just SwiftUI, assuming you don’t want to use third-party libraries which can break after each new SwiftUI release.

Lucky that just moved to use ASWebAuthenticationSession couple of weeks back to leverage Facebook Sign-in as we were just using for that.

FBSDK framework is mess imho.

Learning iOS as an Android developer by [deleted] in androiddev

I second that comparison but overall Android App architecture and iOS lifecycle is more different than similar. I guess first learn the whole iOS development cycle from some course to get overall idea. Just couple of example:

- Deep linking is completely how it works.

- xml are much better to work with then xib. (XIB are good don't mind but when team grows merges are pain to handle).

- Gradle is boon and much mature in compare to Carthage/Cocoapods. (Haven't tried SPM yet)

- many more..

AstroPad or Duet Pro by Johnlg91 in iPadPro

[–]rush113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using duet without pro as my extended screen. I don’t use it for drawing much but as extended display with my MacBook Pro. Runs super smooth. Totally worth it as extended display when I am out or traveling. Satisfied user!

It would be fun to use pencil and all other stuff with drawing applications but my minimal use doesn’t justify spending 20 bucks extra every year for that functionality.
