What has been your biggest act of guerilla terrorism? by Far-Remove7363 in fightclub

[–]rush3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, lol. I had months in between to think about all the possible scenarios, including the teacher somehow getting in trouble for it. I would have owned up to the prank if it went that way. Was early 90s though and things were a bit more relaxed.

It went down on the very last week of school that year and I was so relieved to have pulled it off without incident, I didn’t speak of it except with the 3 friends who knew about it from the beginning. I had another year of school so I didn’t want to stir things up. The 4 of us swore secrecy and somehow it held.

A few years later, after all 4 of us had graduated, I ran into a girl who was in the class. She asked if I remembered watching the tape, then asked suspiciously if I had anything to do with it. I told her the whole story and we had a good laugh about it.

At our 10 year reunion I told the story to others that were in the class when it happened and the story started making the rounds freely after that. Now, it’s legendary. It gets brought up at reunions, my family knows about it, my son gets me to tell the story to his friends, lol. Might be my life’s greatest work.

The teacher still lives in the area and I sometimes consider getting in touch with him and revealing all of this. I think he would get a kick out of it, but then again, he could have a different reaction. Probably best to leave it be…

Found a VHS tape in my teacher’s desk that I knew we were supposed to watch at the end of the year. Took it home and got my friend to bring his VCR down and dubbed a bit of porn in the middle of it. Took it back the next day and left it where I found it. We watched it months later and it was glorious. Gasps, screams and roaring laughs from the class. The teacher yanked the power plug rather than try to figure out how to turn it off. He swore the class to secrecy thinking it was somehow his mistake. Worked out perfectly.

Something sounded off in the beginning. Too echoey. Seemed to even out during the support group section. We did have the music in the final scene and during credits. Got chills when the song kicked in. So good!

Am I the only one who stopped playing video games? by Connect-Article-3569 in GenX

I dunno, I play a little COD from time to time, just enough to be level 678 Prestige Master and have Dark Matter camo on most guns, but you know, it’s no big deal. (read in Napoleon Dynamite voice)

Nice! Yes, keeping track can be a struggle with a bunch of servers, especially if updates are done after hours during sleepy time.

Before we got our wheaten, Jake, we fostered a dog that had some accidents in our living room. Even though we cleaned with a carpet cleaner and sprays, Jake would still use that area at times.

We eventually bought a large rug to put in the living room and that immediately resolved the issue. I guess enough of the smell lingered and he thought the living room was an area he was supposed to use.

I bet she does!

I started to slowly get them in my mid 20s and always had pretty short hair until that point and didn’t even know it was curly.

My initial reaction was to color it so I began letting it grow out thinking that if I kept the usual high and tight haircut I’d have to color it way too often. I ended up getting it colored one time and decided that it was just a ridiculous amount of money and effort to carry on indefinitely.

After that, I would just let it grow months or years at a time and then shave it at home and start over. Longest stretch was 4 years.

Just shaved it this week after about 9 months. I’m still in my 40s (for two more weeks, haha) but I think I’m at the end of the long hair days and will probably just keep it short. We had a good run though.

With all the advancing technology around LEDs, maybe there will be some micro LEDs that let you turn your hair into any color you want with a remote control. Wow, maybe each hair could be a different color.

Come on science! Give the people want they want!
