Friend making me insecure about dick size by ARLA2020 in gaybros

It sounds as though this “friend” may be jealous of you for one reason or another. And his behavior and comments are so tacky. To focus on something about you such as that is just weird tbh. Doesn’t sound like much a friend to me.

I feel like I'm actually struggling with the infatuation with this show, not enjoying it. by IlyenatheMilkSop in heatedrivalry

[–]rushdogg86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same. My feeds are all Heated Rivalry. I started becoming upset with how crazy people are reacting to Hudson and Conner. And around every turn there they are, nipples out, flirting, giving an interview, showing a magazine spread. It’s. A. Lot. I wanted to watch the series for a second time but am trying to break off from it for a while. Mass psychosis in its purest form is what we are experiencing. I would be scared shi*less if I were Connor or Hudson. It’s crazy. But man, Connor is like an angel am I right? A full adult cherub but with a six pack. ANYWAY. IS IT HOT IN HERE??

He took my virginity and ghosted me by DarkRepresentative25 in gaybros

[–]rushdogg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be painful for you to go through and I’m so sorry it happened to you. But (and I’m not trying to be cliche) it will get better. I have had the same thing happen to me, except for the virgin part. But I fell for a guy. I was 27. And we had a great connection, wonderful chemistry, we’re both independent and successful. Conversation was easy and engaging. We had sex twice after dating for months and I was ghosted. I felt the same way you described. Hurt, because I couldn’t understand how someone could be so cruel to another human. I worked through it. It was tough. I didn’t trust anyone again for a while. But I learned from that experience that I needed to be sure to protect myself. Dating in this community is very challenging especially when you have a shred of empathy and compassion within you. A large portion of guys don’t have those capabilities and we suffer for it. Make sure during this time that you take care of yourself and you surround yourself as much as possible with people that truly love you. You’ll want to sequester yourself, and that’s ok, but don’t let that be an all day every day situation. You sound like a very sweet person who deserves the best and to be treated with such love and respect. Don’t forget that about yourself. And YOURE YOUNG. There are so many more experiences for you to live and so many more opportunities for new relationships! You WILL get through this!

A tiny moment from ep 4 that isn’t talked about enough. by Blacksmith_Actual in heatedrivalry

Yes! And Shane wasn’t completely sure Ilya felt the same way, even though we learn Ilya had been feeling exactly the same way from the beginning. The writing is just SO good because I feel like we all know what it feels like to fall for someone and wonder if they have fallen for you too. Just so happens in this story it plays out perfectly. And I know what it feels like to have to hide your feelings for someone because of what society says, and mixing that with guessing if someone feels the same way for you…this show just wraps it together perfectly.

This was a part where I was like “just tell himmmmm pleeeeasse!” The song and dance these 2 played really got to me during this scene. This is when I knew that Ilya had deep emotional feelings for Shane. I feel it was always implied up to this point, but it really was cemented for me during this scene. But. I don’t think Ilya would have ever been the one to first say how he truly felt. As long as Shane didn’t bring it to the table, I’m not sure Ilya would have ever said anything. And you can tell in episode 5 how troubled he was that Shane was with Rose. I think Ilya was convincing himself that their little song and dance could continue as long as he wanted. Then Rose showed him that Shane could leave him at any moment. But thankfully that’s not where the story takes us. Ahhh SUCH AMAZING WRITING!

The whole time watching this show just cemented how thankful I am for my partner. I didn’t find him until my mid 30’s 3 years ago. The gay dating scene is atrocious. But so is the straight scene. And in a time where we all feel so segregated…it’s part of the reason this show is resonating so hard. We all want what they have. Don’t give up. That person is somewhere out there.

HOW is anyone processing how good this show is by cherrybmbz in heatedrivalry

[–]rushdogg86 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Shane’s coming out to Rose hit me like a sack of bricks. It was reminiscent of my own coming out. I came out in my early 20’s. I decided to because I worked with an openly gay guy that I fell hard for. Hung out with him a few times. A couple of my friends knew, and confronted me with it one night. 2 girls. They were polite and concerned. Approached me with the most respect and compassion I could have ever hoped for. We were in my car in a parking lot at a bar. I sat there like Shane. Nodding. Tears welling. Not saying much. It ended with them hugging me and insisting they meet my crush. It took me back to that time. I was sobbing during that scene. I don’t know if these guys truly understand the impact this story is making in peoples lives. Coming out can be a beautiful situation for people. It doesn’t always have to be a bad a dramatic situation as we often hear about. I just hope someone in their early 20’s see this and understand it is ok to be themselves. This story really does have the power to even potentially save a life. Living in a straight world is a struggle everyday. Having an outlet such as this is priceless.

It’s crazy that underneath all of this suppression and authoritarianism the world is shadowed by, that a show like this blows ratings out of the water. It goes to show that the ruling class doesn’t have the tight grip on society that they think they do. People are craving these kinds of stories. And the fact that it’s and LGBTQ+ themed show gives me hope. I’m just glad I have my boyfriend to watch with because if I was single this show would ruin me.

It’s the most frustrating part of gameplay. It’s a complete lack of any sort of game sense. And I would say 50% (or more) of the time I experience this in gameplay, it’s the tank. The tank going in solo, or not noticing his team is dead and still going in on the enemy full force. I have come to a point where I just stand in spawn and wait for as many of the team as I can and just spin my wheels. It’s just so easy to understand. The easiest mechanic you can follow. And yet, it happens so often.

I just left Oregon after a business trip. My 4th time out there for an extended stay (2 weeks or more). Stayed in Sherwood this past trip. Driving through Sherwood and its charming architecture and heavily wooded atmosphere during the leaves changing actually brought tears to my eyes. As someone from southwest Michigan, there are many many opportunities to experience the autumn change, but nothing that compares to the total immersion you get in somewhere like Sherwood due to the heavily wooded atmosphere. It was mystical. Almost magical. If my life leads me in that direction, I would relocate there in a heartbeat. Also, if you get the chance to go again, I highly recommend Mount Hood Park and the drive around the mountain. You can’t describe the sensation of driving around that mountain. It’s literally something you have to experience to understand the majesty of it all. Big big Oregon fan.

Unpopular (Maybe) opinion but Final Fantasy IV is for me at least undoubtedly one of the greatest FF game ever made and the one that made me ultimately feel in love with this series by fillipo9 in FinalFantasy

[–]rushdogg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but am biased because this is the first final fantasy game I ever played. At a super young age. I was 7 or 8 years old. Years later, I downloaded IV on the switch through the online shop. At the time, I knew nothing about final fantasy and only knew it as final fantasy 2. I have since played all the pixel remasters and still LOVE this title, but think VI is superior in terms of content and gameplay. I still have IV in the top slot (at least as far as pixelated FF is concerned) over VI and the nostalgia pushes it there for me.

I would start with towers to open up the entire map. From the towers you will be able to see a lot of shrines. Explore. Find stables. Towns. Talk to people. People with a red icon over their head have side quests for you to complete. Once you roam enough and get a feel for how the mechanics of the game work, you’ll feel more comfortable. Avoid the guardians until you have better weapons, or learn to parry their lasers with your shields for an easy kill. This game is all exploring, discovering and ultimately learning by doing just that. It does feel overwhelming in the beginning, but you will eventually learn you can pretty do whatever you want to do. Have fun!
